A scene like that exist? The closest thing I knew was VT system rampage, and even then it's her SANITY that is threatened, where she recognized Ichika as deadly threat (he isn't).

@ Senpai and Rain - Sequence of events for Michaels chapter.

1. Meets up with partner and causes distraction.

2. Michael takes note that there are still civilians (they're in a hospital) and asks partner when they should pull the alarm to make them leave.

3. Partner replies that they're not and starts planting thr bomb. Michael voices his protests and defends himself when his partner attacks him and manages to knock him out.

4. Manages to disable the bomb, but gets shot by partner at the side since he wasnt't paying attention.

5. Held by gunpoint till the sounds of the FRACTURE police surrounding the buiilding are heard and distract his partner.

6. Both struggle over the gun and end up smashing into a window. Michael throws his partner over the window and (painfully) pulls out the glass shards embedded on his body.

7. Struggles to stay concious and tries to leave the building.

8. Get's shot and killed in the barricade when he tries to warn them about the bombs.

o.o... I'm dissatisfied with a lot of the parts in infinite stratos.

I honestly just love the setting and the world the writer built up. Everything else is just an entertaining add-on.

A lot of us felt the same, my brother is especially enraged by POINTLESS harem antic that doesn't even serves as ShipTease. =.=

@ Vali-senpai - Yes, he dies. This was also my plan for my created protagonist. He's already dying slowly by the time the story starts so he's not gonna last long unless I find some way to cure him in the story.

@ Eratas:... Remember Chapter 8 of HotM?

I feel bad for killing off Ryuu at all, and that Koyomi had to grow up without a father, but his death kicked off a lot of important plot points.

Also, it's as EXCELLENT as Zero says it is.

She can't find it in herself to enter the land of dreams so her body is still but her mind is not. She's thinking of that manga she just read awhile ago. It was so moving, the hero, the girl, will and the love. How exciting everything was for her. She thought to herself why her life wasn't like that. Why couldn't she be gifted with such things? All she had was a perfect elder sister and people who always made it a point to tell her how inferior she was. She hated it, she hated everything. Kanzashi wished that this reality and her reality were interchanged. In her reality, Kanzashi would be the girl, and someday she would be swept off her feet by her hero. He would promise her his fidelity with great passion and she would respond in kind. She would give him everything. her time, her will, her passions, so long as he gave her his. She imagines herself locked in that tower, guarded by monsters and everything that made evil, evil. She would call out "where is my hero?" and he would respond "I'm here" and break through the darkness. He would fill everything with light and take her away. Kanzashi feels secure with this person, her hero. She finds him amazing and asks him if he truly is her hero. He replies he could be if she wanted him to be, though he wasn't much. Kanzashi's eyes snap into focus and she finds herself face to face with Ichika. He looks a bit embarassed, further made noticeable by the sunlight that filled the room, as he repeats his words that he could be her hero if she really wanted him to be, though he doesn't know how to be her hero. Kanzashi faints from embarassment. Didn't really think this one through, just did it >.<
