Complete Relic can summon Noise? Does that means first episode's Noise outbreak was caused by Nehushtan? It's also interesting that Chris' main target is not Durandal but Hibiki, I'm sure it's related to Hibiki's "berserk"? …and that ending oh no... Miku

Spoiler for Episode 4:

Sounds better in terms of animation and story than I was expected after the epic-failed episode 3. Chris's Relic was Nehustan and because she is a complete Relic user, she can summon Noise. Anyway, Tsubasa was heavily wounded because she use "swan song", just like Kanade. Then, at the beginning of episode 4, they explain a brief relationship between ZweiWing members. Have to wait in future episodes to explain more about ZweiWing's origins, arrival of Noise, Hibiki's Relic, Chris's past and creation of Symphogear.

Er... it appears I may have to rescind that statement about the power not being inherently corruptible. Tsubasa is the only one who's shown no signs of corruption with it, but her personality can hardly be called much better. Give into your instincts and turn into a monster, or repress them and turn into a robot. Nobody wins.

I will say I don't quite get the fascination of people wanting to see Hibiki go berserk. The first episode was appreciated for the style of Zwei Wing's (decidedly non-berserk) fighting, so why must Hibiki do so? I sort of understand the baser aspects of human nature that might lead to such a thing, but it's not somethign I'm particularly hoping for.

Chris's armor is way too spiky for her to be a good guy right now. Summoning giant... er, penis things (what else am I supposed to call them?) isn't exactly doing much to help that either. The posthumous character fleshing out of Kanade was nice, though, and Hibiki's accepting her fate with an awesome training montage - I can totally get behind that. After the rollercoaster ride of an episode, it's nice to leave on a happy note.

In the next few episodes, Hibiki will go berserk and probably get killed either by singing her swansong or being ripped apart by a much powerful Noise even while under Berserk Mode.

Or Miku sides with the current protagonist and dies too.

Looks like it's already established that death is the main theme of this series, especially since Senki Zesshou means "Swansong of the Valkyries".

Well, isn't that just peachy. So much for 'I hope my favourite character survives'. The ED is about Chris, and at the very end she flares up and becomes something reminiscent of a phoenix? I'll rage so hard if she does die, since it's been hinted at that Hibiki will die, and I really can't see Tsubasa surviving all of this. Yay for Miku being the sole survivour? Mehh, I still need to watch episode 4.

So the Symphogears are part-solution, part-problem? How will the Noise be completely eradicated if the same people who are tasked to destroy the Noise end up gaining the ability to summon Noise?

Well, I can see the budget of last episode went to this one. And eventhough it had its moments of bad animation, it was the best episode so far.

I think they really wanted to go for Hibiki. If they really wanted Gungnir, they need to take her heart too and kill her. Yet Chris wanted to keep her alive. My money is that they want to analyze Hibiki.
WHY? Here are some ideas/theories.

1) Kanade had a very hard time getting sync with Gugnir. Hibiki has basically synchronized immediately and easily.

2) Seems like Chris had a hard time controlling her symphogear when damaged and decided to escape. When Symphogear takes control, Hibiki gets a berserk/boost mode.

3) This is a very long shot, but it seems that the better the relic`s shape, the more power it has. Hibiki only has shards of an already broken piece, and my bet is that she has the power of a complete HQ Relic. XD

The singing during battle is really the only part that still throws me for a loop. It's just not the sort of thing I invision someone doing before starting to beat abstract creatures up. You can have somebody singing during your fight, but you should never be singing while fighting, those should be the rules.

Well what do you know Hibiki is a close combat specialist... Or starting out to be.

Interesting Kanade's origin story involves revenge and being part of a super soldier program. She would have been a failure but she sought the power herself.

From what get from Tsubasa she was born as an Attuned and raised as a weapon.

Finally Hibiki is an accident but turns out to be very compatible with the relics. A rough stone that needs to be polished. Unlike the other two driven by vengeance or sorrow she wants to protect others survival.
