And here I thought where was more definitive news...

Oh well, we have at least a month to go anyways. Also, Milhi and Shinku in the AS Banner rotation is splendid

Feel free to use or ignore this advice as you see fit, but a halberd is a weapon meant to be wielded with two hands and deliver heavy blows and stabs (for Dog Days, imagine a more speedy and flashier version of this), it's not something you'd twirl around like a staff, much less wield two at once.

... And dammit, now the OC bug is starting to bite me too.

actually he uses them like Yukimura from Sengoku Basara. This is fantasy after all.

... My inner weapon-geek is jumping up and down raging at your suggestion that halberds can or should be used like that.

But since I'll get creative with my of character's weapons as well, I'll shush him.

If it makes it feel better, he uses magic to wield them like tooth pick weight.

Nah, it's not a big deal. I've been staring at improbable and impossible weapons ever since I started watching anime. I can handle this.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

I guess since it is OK to gang-rape a minor as long as it is not explicitly depicted (Now and Then, Here and There, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc), dual yielding halberds is a minor offense

Ah haha, Exactly. His biggest attack is throwing them with large force, like Nel's big attack from Bleach. or White Knight Chronicle's dragon knight.

Besides, they already broke reality when they had catgirls and giant choco-chickens... Speakin of which my OC doesn't have one of those. Instead he has a Giant wolf to ride on. or stand and do mounted combat with both his halibards.

Nevertheless, that should not stop is from being critical about our characters. There's only so much you can stuff into a character before people throw their hands up and say "is there anything this character can't do?"

But like I said, these were just my 2 cents, feel free to use or ignore it at your leisure.

But should we enter the whole fantsy/magic has rules logic... there are three possibilities:

1) A super-light, but ultra-strong metal that can be forged into the halberd's head, which will rely on the geometry of the weapon, instead of its weight to be effective (in between halberds like most polearms relied on both).

2) The wooden shaft can be shorter, making it technically an axe, not a halberd.

3) The yielder has superhuman arm strength, in addition to having 5-10 times a humans body mass, yet human height. Then he would be able to balance his swings.

But my money is on magic/fantasy/etc. are works of fiction and the above arguments are trivial in the face of a cool fighter

On the subject of rules, so far the only rules Dog Days magic seems to have are:

1: The energy used for it is finite

2: Whatever the hell the user imagines, it can be made if he/she is skillful enough.

Having downloaded the concert episode (which was arguably the weirdest choice for a budget cut) the animation has indeed been brushed up for the DVD's.
