Is Shioris seiyuu the same as Touko sempai from bungaku shoujo? I just got that feeling when I'm watching it. I'm not familiar with the voice actress names or even remember the name and the work they did.
I think a slow pace match with Shiori and I don't find it drag when Spoiler for 9:
Shiori is indeed one of my favorite. Really cute character deserves more love. Kaminomi surely presents over dose of cuteness each episode.

Shiori is my favorite girl from the manga, so this episode turned out to be such a pleasure to watch. The way the adaptation handled her shyness and love for books was truly on the mark, and i must give credit to HanaKana. Sure i don't always like her works, though she was spot on here.
Totally loved the scene where she was expressing her love for books. Sure it went on for quite a while, though that's totally her character. It's the same with the scene where she wanted to thank Keima. Finally the adaptation reaches the stand out moment of Elsie's character. Her total fascination for fire trucks. There truly is no end to how adorable she's come across as being when talking about the subject. The fact that her love for them begins from scratch is just awesome . Plus it's only the beginning. This weeks funniest moment, had to be Keima's reaction regarding that he wouldn't be able to read a girl's inner thoughts in real life. Genius. Also Ai Nonaka. That was a 100% lovely surprise. <3

Best scene for me was when Shiori tripped and then leaned onto Keima for god knows how long, that was really cute. Oh god that reaction. lol :3
The fact that Keima was waiting for Shiori to say something and not interrupt her is also a special moment. When you're so shy and closed up you'll never meet anyone who has the patience to wait on you to say something. Even then, when the person keeps staring at you like Keima did at Shiori, you will get really nervous... you'll feel pushed on without forming any compromised answer and often you blurt out something very generic, not to mention say it wrong. That just makes you close up again and it makes the cycle of shyness. Unless that person approaches you enough to change you. Good luck, Keima. edit: One of the tracks I'll look forward to the most will so be Shiori's piano and orchestra music once an OST comes around. Tranquility pure.

Pretty good episode, Elsie results in much laughter as ussually, especially her talk on "history", and then her expressions from reading about fire trucks . Also Shiori finding all 485 books on them from memory is pretty impressive I mean that library is pretty decently sized, so to remember where all the books are place, is a bit crazy. And Shiori's character has been nice so far her thoughts are amusing though, like that she almost took Keima's help as more than just being nice at first.
I have to agree her reaction to that was really cute .

The pacing was rather slow. Fitting for Shiori where all is about inner thoughts and tranquility, but it won't help Kaminomi to get in more viewers...
The lighting works was really good in this episode, perfectly describing a lost castle where a mute princess wanders all days, away from the issues of the outside world. Shiori is an extremely cute character, and she was nicely described in this first episode. It's amusing to watch her obsessing over her books, with the same joy and eloquance of Keima about his galges. The two of them have at least this in common, and it opens lots of path for future development. And as many in this thread, I totally relate to her issue with live communication. It's so hard to find what to say when one thousand things are rushing in our head... And the outcome is always a social mess. Music was nice too. Apparently, we're in for a 3 episode arc. Too bad they chose to stop just when Keima has begun his "probe flag". They could have wait for his conclusion, closing the episode on a new objective. Will Shiori close this season? Or will we at least get a double ep of our favorite tsundere from hell? Please give us a "war inside my head" episode at minima. With such a good VA for keima, and the overall high quality, this would be so sparta!

This ep somehow feels more draggy than Kanon's
I think non-manga readers/non-Shiori's fans will agree that it was kinda boring :/ Especially the parts where the scene is repeated over and over again, with similar text/words repeated. Though I don't see how else should a librarian be portrayed... |

Then the last episode would probably be another 'filler' to round it up (if Shiori doesn't steal the show with 4 episodes). I doubt there'll be much of appearance for that character, if at all. Maybe a short appearance just for showing's sake, but meh. Actually manga readers could have just as much reason to complain.

Ahh,,, Yeah, in many meanings, Hanazawa... Nothing really great or new here...
The character she played was annoying. Mostly because of those overly long speeches she makes inside her head... Books are ** Books are ** Books are ** Books are ** Books are ** Books are ** etc. It was also irritating when she just stared at someone without saying anything. Some strange animation too, like the line of books moving around... LC was cute. <--The usual Nishimata... Your characters faces are always so similar... But this artwork was pretty good, surprisingly.
