Usually Beatrice if going through a story mode with two characters that pair up properly...
e.g. Kanon + Shannon = Beatrice + Lucifier final fight..
But, Lucifer + Ronove = Ronove + Siesta 410 final fight...

Depends on who you're playing. If the tag team you're using makes sense, it'll have a storyline of its own, and its own final boss - not necessarily Beato. For example, Virgilia + Siesta 410's last boss is Shannon + Ronove. Storyline's something about a carrot, if memory serves. But yes. It entirely depends on who you're using. Many storylines have Beato as a final opponent, however.

On the case the tag team characters don't have a storyline of their own, then it's totally random.

Huh, where was that found? The charselect data? Should be animated too, if that's the case.

The \char\ files have exactly 10x2 sets of files, one for the characters and one for, what I'm assuming, is the alternate colors - swapping these around screwed with the characters ingame but not at character select, so that's my best guess.

Battler/Ronove, Kanon/Lucifer, and EVA/410 also have stories.

Battler/Ronove ends with Ronove taking off his clothes so Battler can have SOMETHING to grope...

There are 11 stages, "01-11". There's also random, #00. Stage 12 is also Random.

Stage 13 seems to be the Chapel. However, the Chapel is already available in the rotation -- as #06. You can't access #13 normally. There are no #14 or further stages, so the Chapel is the only one with a duplicate. As far as I can tell, it seems identical to the original. When a stage is inaccessible (and it's not just scrapped) it's usually used for story events or unlocked/used through some other method -- for example, a time/date-based event. It being placed after a second random is kind of suspicious, too.

Character selects are coffins and, in the metaverse of the chapel, there's a shaking coffin (or two?). The metaverse is themed after "Happy Halloween for Maria". There's some important dates in Umineko: 10/31 [Halloween for Maria], 07/15, 11/29.. October 4th-5th too, but I tried winning a match on it after setting my system clock to 10/4 1986 with no effect.

Yeah, I seriously doubt it's anything, but if someone wants to try tinkering around with the date, go ahead.

I don't have time right now, but I thought I might throw that out there.

I had this problem too. I solved it by installing the game on a more powerful computer. Apparently the graphic card of the first pc was not powerful enough.

How do I set up the controls? My keyboard cant control it. The OP just kept on playing, then demo, then OP again.

They'll probably release her when/if the game starts to stagnate to keep it going.

Does anyone know how the special moves like: Go, Sakutarou! 「行って、さくたろう!」 ―　236ABC (Air also) work (I got this from the wiki). What does 236ABC mean? :S

Also how do I block?

With 5 being the standing position.
In this case it's 2 for down, 3 for down-forwards and 6 for forwards and you can use either the A, B or C button.
AKA: Down-forward A, B or C, do it again after summoning Sakutaro to execute the attack.
You press back (4) to block.

↓↘→ Z or X or C to summon Sakutarou... do again to make him attack...

Alternatively, if you have SP, do ↓↘→ SP to make him do a bigger attack...

Try it in training.

Spoiler for EP6/EP7 spoilers: Although I don't understand a word they're saying, it looks like Shannon/Battler story mode is EP6 love trial but with Pre-Chiru Battler. Battler continually gets with each Movement/Stage. His surprised expression in the last two fights + the ending are hilarious! I don't know what their (EDIT: SECOND to the) last boss is about but it looks like Lion/Yasu vs. Shannon to me. I'll also post characters that have a story and those that don't here that I encountered hehe...
