Tatsumi/Akame work to change the Empire from outside while Wave/Kurome work to change the Empire from within, imo.

Well yeah, she and Akame have a fated battle awaiting, until then Kurome won't die but once they clash swords, who's gonna come out alive?

Kurome or the girl the Manga is named after?

If anything I can see Kurome and Akame doing a "Once in a Lifetime, never again" type of alliance against Izou.
But Kurome dying?Not anytime soon.Her and Akame dueling is one of the most anticipated as well as sure as shit battles in the Manga.Until then, she should be 100% safe.

However, knowing the Author I will not be surprised if the injury Chelsea inflicted will haunt her at some point.

i hope that shura die sufering. but the way things are progressing i think he will cause much more devastation before his head roll, and even so we haven't get any prof that the revolutionary army is much better than the actual governants. i can very well see tatsumi realising that and oposing himself to the revolutionaris (maybe he is recruted for budou)
