That's too bad, I kinda liked Maria and they sorta left first season on a cliff hanger.

I thought that especially the part where he exclaims "if she doesn't want to see my ass, she should look somewhere else!" was absolutely hilarious, as was the green kappa guy. I'll definitely be following this series; I love Shaft, for ef and bakemonogatari, and now I'm adding this to the list of their amazing shows.

The parts where the character talks about his childhood, however, made me sick; I can't stand these abusive, deluded noveau riche parents who are actively jealous at the thought of giving their children a better lifestyle then they had and so force them into this proto-capitalist harsh bs, giving them a worse existence ultimately than most middle class kids. Really, his parents are super-rich but they won't even pay for his college education?--I'm sure many, many poor parents wish they could provide their children with at least that.

Well, in Kou's dad's defense, Kou wants to pay for tutition himself. As for him being a bad father, it is pretty undeniable, you should see some of the later stuff that appears in the manga...I'm surprise Kou can still call him father.

Lol. This was freaking hilarious. Especially when Kou said trying to get his father to burp was hard. XD

It's also awesome that Nino's voice is the same as Ryougi Shiki and Kou's is the same as Izaya, Takemoto and Araragi.

yes the voices are important to the success of this kind of show

hard to imagine the always serious Shiki = the super laid back Nino (pro seiyuu)

Kou is exactly like Ararararagi, which suit the character very well

Yeah it's even more amusing imaging Ryuogi Shiki being even half as weird Nino. XD

Is this the first time you people have heard Maaya Sakamoto voice a character that isn't Shiki or something?

The only other voice i know she's done is Alphard in Canaan. I suppose that works just as well but Ryougi Shiki is one of my all time favourite characters and appears in one of my all time favourite anime. So yeah...

Well, in their defense, Shiki is probably the character that comes the closest to Nino among the characters Maaya has played. She hasn't played that much kuudere in her career. Though I'm not sure Nino even has a dere side yet

It wasn't laugh-out-loud funny (same as with the manga actually) but it did make me chuckle in a oh-you-so-sly way. Still not a big fan of Shinbo's obnoxiousdirectorial style, but hearing Sakamoto voice Nino more than makes up for it!

Damn those were some hyper 24 minutes, and I loved every second of it. SHAFT/Shinbou was born to animate this.

PS: Also love how I get to hear Kamiyan play two tsukkomi roles this season.

Actually it just seems to be a normal highway bridge.

I stand corrected. I should've checked the structure a bit better...
