I can't believe what happened this episode... Is it really okay to do all that to start off the season? The hype is too much for me.

That was waaaaaaay too awesome for them to do that. Not sure if I entirely support them doing tha to K2 even if it was in there way... Well, whatever. If Chris starts it off it is all okay in my book.

Wow at that concert though.

That's a good point. Certainly would provide the method to get her involved with Hibiki and company.

I'm not sure, but I give them full support for doing something that awesome right out of the gate

. While most shows are tipping their toes into the new season, Symphogear just blasts away mountains.

Alternatively it's time for Genjurou to stop some magic attacks with his own hands. They did use his chara description in the website to make it very clear that now that the enemies aren't Noise anymore, it's time for him to step up to the plate in terms of fighting, soooo...

The sooner that happens, the better, because seeing Genjurou being a boss is always one of my favourite moments in Symphogear, haha.

As for the episode itself, I had the biggest expectations and, even then, I feel they were completely surpassed. Top notch work all around, but especially those first 6 minutes are out of this world. Some of my favourite moments in animation for the last few years, for sure.

Finally got around to watch the episode.

SYMPHOGEAR IS BACK and by god it's fabulous. Had to pause the episode when they punched K2 of all things because I was laughing too hard. And they just had to suplex the rocket ._. That's a pretty sturdy house, taking absolutely no damage when that guy fired the rocket thrusters right next to it ...

Anyway, some more thoughts:
Of course Hibiki/Tsubasa share one half of that rocket, Chris needs more space after all :3
Chris and her infinite amount of missiles
Maria is useless as always
Elfnine a cute
concert dresses were absolutely hilarious
THIS IS JUST LIKE AN ANIME
Hibiki x Miku and Kirika x Shirabe as gay as always
Shirabe sounds different, maybe that's just me
NEW TRANSFORMATION SCENE (that was slightly ruined thanks to Hibiki's kung-fu hustling)
Dude got shot in the head what
Sword autoscorer exploding that pile of things that Tsubasa knocked her in was pretty awesome
Coin autoscorer is a ... flamenco dancer?
Chris is under attack but we aren't shown by whom

Hibiki is getting nuked

Episode 1:
Wow, the first few minutes of Symphogear GX is so awesome, especially Hibiki who flipped the space shuttle safely! Meanwhile, I feel that Elfnein is somewhat related to Carol Malus Dienheim thanks to that Pandora's Box.

In any case, I'm hoping that good things will come next week as I'm gonna see six Relic users join forces ala Riot Force 6!

It's back! Have to admit, I didn't enjoy the second season as much as the first- mainly because I didn't like the new characters much, but this season might just fix that- too early to tell.

For now though, everything was totally over the top and ridiculous and it was great

I'm really betting that Elfiniem will hide out at the school. It's logical.

Looking forward to seeing the Autoscorers getting their ass handed to them midway through the season and the ending.

Also again if Shen Shou Jing was still intact, it would totally trash the autoscorer. Chooser can't be pleaser.

Hopefully the side characters will do more this season.
