Well, I look at mecha in 2 ways, there are Mecha-armours and full blown mecha.

Full blown mecha is gundam, AC, and Code geass type mecha.

Mecha armours are the ones that the characters wear such as IS, busou shinki, Saijaku.

So, maybe they are too mutually exclusive.

Chifuyu with battle armore that runs on kojima particles and an isolated inner chamber to protect her from radiation backlash. AMS allows her to control the armor with her mind so her movements aren't hampered by the armor too much as it moves with her. A third and/or fourth arm on the shoulder or lower back holds the ULTIMATE WEAPONS for storage or activated state.

Her weapons of choice would definitely be beam blade emitters on the forearms but burn time is limited due to output and nature of kojima particle beam blades. She can fire beam blade waves and has, by default, an ULTIMATE WEAPON which is a giant kojima cannon, but in actuality is a giant beam saber.

Not as good as white knight, my main concern is this: will there be an IS unit that can give white knight a run for its money & a pilot that can compete/take on or AT least SLOW DOWN chifuyu?!

Not an IS, but a 4th Gen Armored Core could destroy any IS. Kojima is no joke.
Chifuyu or no Chifuyu, she wouldn't be able to even approach the thing. Don't get me started on 002-B.
Hell, most Armored Core 4 pilots would have died from Kojima Radiation. Like the Silver Bullet guy.

An IS is essentially a powered suit. Sometimes it's not so much the tech or power as the scale you're working with. An IS versus a Knightmare Frame from Code Geass is still possible, but with bigger mecha comes the problem. For example, Laura in her Schwarzer Regen challenging Gurren Laggan to a fight...would be a bad idea.

...and very messy for Laura. *cringes*

And yeah an Armored Core would have both the mobility and firepower to match an IS---but has sufficiently more armor and shielding. You could probably argue that Valkyries from the Macross 7 era and later could beat an IS for the very same reasons. It'll be like firing an assault rifle at a tank; no matter how well-designed and powerful the rifle is for the role it's designed for, it won't do jack against a tank.

I meant even shrunken down they'd be effective. 00-Aretha at shrunk to 15 feet tall would still be godlike. 002-B would still be Imagine Dragons: Radioactive. Not just being a fanboy, but the only real chance they'd have would be energy weapons. Those can almost ignore Kojima shielding, but at that point the AC pilot or drone would just Assault Armor. It'd see no point in having shields anyway, so it'd be best to use It's shield as a weapon of #rektm8.

Not to mention Instant Boost. That's basically unlimited Ignition Boost for the NEXTs. Sure IS might have PIC to ignore inertia but can they go from 0 to supersonic in less than half a second?

Yeah image if byakushiki mantage to get an ability that can make travel the speed of sound, hell maybe even faster than that

Gaining a random ability shouldn't be how that's decided. XD
As Demino said, the Quickboost is ridiculous on Armored Cores. I get the feeling some other genius will make mecha rather than mech suits to combat the IS. Not hostile, but maybe as a way to participate in the sport. Think of a RC mecha about the size of an IS.

Pretty sure it's not just supersonic though. I think I hit 3000+ kph on Quick Boost alone while playing around with my friend's NEXT on AC4A. That's pretty much mach 3 I believe. At ground level too.

Golems from the show/manga? I'm sure they do. That's what I meant by RC. I mean, just set up a similar interface to make it fair to everyone. It's not hard to emulate pain either, especially with how advanced they are at this point.

off note, why shrink mechs if you could scale up ISes?

Maybe TaBunny knows (she knows everything!!!) why there are no large-scale ISes existing yet (except to those slightly larger golems).
Somewhere from the cores' power limits itself , those 'quantum transport, thingy', or maybe her style of keeping it in a humble 'little' bundle.
