Epic of Zektbach- Ch. I: Shamshir Dance OVA

Well don't know if there are any Zektbach fans (DDR fans may know some of his videos like Ristaccia or Blind Justice), but on the 21st an OVA which covers the first story of the Epic, Shamshir Dance, was released. The cover art was made by Maya Takamura, the Epic's main artist
Summary (taken from ANN):
Spoiler for :

Zektbach supervised the entire production of the anime from the story to the direction, the animation was made by AIC and Yuko Kaida led the cast as Shamshir.

I've just watched the OVA with subs and here are my impressions:
Spoiler for ova:

In general the OVA was ok, although Shamshir is my least favourite character in the Epic

By the way I liked the new version of Shamshir Dance in the OVA and that they decided to put the piano version of Ristaccia as the ending but the opening was meh

I wish they decide to continue to release OVAs for the next stories, so the next would be Lien's and Sigma's story

PD: i know this is wrong the place to post it, but i can't post it in the current anime thread and i didn't know where to post it

Seen it.
Very nice.
Is it part of a bigger storyline or is it a limited project?

yeah, the Epic is more or less like Sound Horizon where the songs tell different stories which are connected.

Spoiler for Epic's Prologue:

In youtube you can find all zektbach's music videos (the art and animation of the videos are made by maya takamura, except shamshir dance and l'erisia videos)

The second story is ZETA, which is about a young mathematical prodigy called Lien who felt the existence of Sigma when he was working at a puzzle about prime numbers and she threw seven of the world's hardest puzzles to Lien to test his talent.

watched it and I thought it was good, but it would have been more interesting if it were spread out over 12 episodes instead of cramming it into a 30 minute OVA.

6/10 from me for keeping me mildly entertained.

Edit: Shamshir was hot though

This site is the best I can find in English for relevant information: http://www.wix.com/saiyanserenityv/zektbach/

Tbh, I think the source material is far far more interesting than this OVA would have you believe. Budget concerns perhaps? But it was still okay. Hope to see more.

This month the 2nd Drama CD has been released:
「The Epic of Zektbach Novel CD Series ~Masinowa~」
http://www.konamistyle.jp/sp/zektbac..._03/index.html
Seiyuu cast
Kana Hanazawa as Malchut
Koyasu Takehito as Gijiri
Shinnosuke Tachibana as Kukaru
Miyuki Sawashiro as L'erisia
Shuhei Sakaguchi as Ido
Noriko Kuwajima as ミサクヤ (Misakuya?)
Sayaka Ohara as イサゴ (Sha?)

Wow, never expected Masinowa to have a Drama CD and to have Kana Hanazawa voicing Malchut!(and Miyuki Sawashiro as L'erisia)

By the image and the title, it is going to cover Malchut's and Gijiri's story. If you are interested these are the 3 musical videos that cover their story (the first 2 are about Malchut and the last one about Gijiri's past):
