I think the excellent covers give the impression that the illustrations will also be excellent, while in fact they are not even half the beauty of them. Well, these are just two examples, maybe they're the worst.

I think those illustrations look good, they had enough guts to use a western-like style rather than the usual moe-style.

Personally, I find exaggeration standardizing this style as something exclusively Western, at least to me it seems more like something related to manga seinen, such as Blade the immortal.

Fucking hell I hate the novel illustration at least the covers. I never seen if that's how it actually look like you have to be goddamn pretentious if you want the manga to have the same kid drawn art style from the novel.
