Honestly, it's been said in big red letter this show contains gratuitous amounts of fanservice on top of a extremely dark story if people already have a distaste for that stuff well I don't why they'd bother. |

To tell the truth, I was so caught up in the story the first time I saw this that I didn't think about the censorship, either. But now that I have seen the uncensored version streamed on a Japanese site....
Spoiler for uncensored version of ep1:

I like the ED quite a bit. That's a group of seiyuus who can just about all sing: Fujimura Ayumi, Toyosaki Aki, Chihara Minori, Hirano Aya, Hikasa Youko. The animation is amusing, and the song itself and the arrangement work for me. They are by the same guy who wrote "Cageyake Girls" and several other songs for K-On. He is a 24-year-old "Sound Creator/Guitarist" called Oshima Tomohisa, better known as Tom-H@ck. He has a good official site.
The ED animation is storyboarded by Takahashi Takeo, the director of Spice & Wolf and Aki-Sora. It is directed by Nobuta Yuu, who directed episodes of Code Geass, Red Garden, Kure-nai, etc. And the animation is supervised by Sugimoto Isao, who is the overall animation director for the series, and did the same for Moonlight Mile and Chargen Girl Juuden-chan.

Having watched both versions of the anime, I am going to have to watch the uncensored versions from now on. They chop up the show too much to make it "suitable" for tv... then you loose out on some of the stuff that it needs to make sense.

At least Aki Toyosaki is playing as a different character in terms of physical appearance, while her character still lacks in the mental department. And Ayumi Fujiwara becomes proficient with Japanese swords.......what a twist.
And wow, in the first episode and Mio Hana gets impaled by a sharp object. Katja is so cute! MINE! *takes her home*

saw both versions, when following the normal airing episode things make no sense
cause you don't know why they are all moaning and going kyaah uncensored version makes a little more sense in that but in total.. it makes no sense at all o.o; girls producing milk just by having their boobs sucked. Girls with huge boobs wearing no bra.. and another moaning when a total stranger/enemy is rubbing a kendo stick between her boobs ... ooh please... I will watch it, the uncensored version cause the MC is a little interesting... it is like total hentai-ish fanservice then whamo angst and emo-ness -_-; |

Just watched the uncensored version of ep 1. Positive side: I understood what happened in the scenes better. Negative side: The depiction of the events crossed my personal line of "don't want to see" a couple of times. I would love for a happy middle ground between the censored and uncensored versions. Something more informative than the censored version but less explicit than the uncensored version. That's my personal preference. But since I only have the 2 options to choose from, I prefer the uncensored version because there were pieces of information that I clearly missed in the censored version.

Just watched the uncensored version and I have to say that it also convinced me to stick with it until the end.
The fanservice is great but I also hope that there are some really good action scenes. |
