So the topic is in WN but AFAIK the translated version is made with the LN (well, AFAIK) rather than Narou's version.
AFaIK that author's books are quite different in their LN and WN version. BTW for those who read this title and liked it, there's a prequel to it, called Yuusha, aruiwa bakemono to yobareto shoujo. Available both in WN and LN as well, and in two volumes. It explains stuff left unexplained in the first title, as well as feature again some characters (younger) from SwTS.

And that's not the only difference. So well, are you really sure that it's the only difference for shinigami wo tabeta shoujo ?

I recently went back and finished this WN, after starting it ages ago when I saw someone list it as one of their favorites.
I really liked the protagonist's personality and awesome combat style, but I'd hoped for the story to become more epic. Part of that hope stemmed from how I'd heard that "Yuusha, Aruiwa Bakemono to Yobareta Shoujo" was another work by this author connected to this one. But I now see that that other work is a prequel, not a direct sequel. So considering that "Yuusha, Aruiwa" doesn't appear to leverage any of the character development of "Shinigami wo Tabeta Shoujo", and is only about the same length as this WN, although I don't want to be spoiled, I'm wondering if it's any more epic, and more importantly, whether there's a protagonist as good as Shera. Would "Yuusha, Aruiwa" satisfy my current desire for an epic WN, or is it something I can read in the future when I'm in the mood for another WN like "Shinigami wo Tabeta Shoujo"?

I've been meaning to comment on this story for some time. Quite an original setup. Somehow, protagonist-chan is kinda cute in dark and weird way. Maybe it's how she's kinda "simple" and faithful to her desires. Feels like it's all going to end badly for her, but who knows. (Well, I could read the raws but happy to wait for the translations).
Could superficially compare this to "katahane no riku" (dark female mc wielding a big polearm) but they're rather different in practice... |

The prequel features several characters that you see in shinigami wo tabeta shoujo, explaining some motivations, and more importantly, explaining a lot of things that were kept unexplained in SwTS. I personally like both protagonists around the same. They are very different though, so it will depend of what peoples like here.

AFAIk, karin wo idaita shoujo is happening ona completely different continent than the two other stories. It's called Riberika. The map at the beginning shows the whole riberika continent, that is completely separated from any other, so I don't think we'll see anything from the other two stories (haven't read it yet though), not even sure it's the same verse right now.
