I never realized there were so many people in that town. Always seems deserted.
Music was lovely. I think the whole episode was about Touko seeing a vision of what Kakeru was probably feeling around that time of meeting them, and not belonging. Was confusing until the end. |

Aww man, I wish episode 12 was the FIRST episode or a reboot for this show. Kakeru was much more likeable and it would've been more interesting to figure out what was going on with Touko suddenly being forgotten by people she just met and the mentions of the world fragments.
And then they can continue from there and I can erase the garbage past eleven episodes from my memories. lol Anyway, this is probably the most disappointing anime of the year for me. I love the character designs, the backgrounds, and some of the music. But it all feels wasted because the story sux. I was happy when Mari Okada wasn't on staff for this show earlier this year. Made me hopeful that Glass Lip could at least be as good as my favorite PA Works show, Tari Tari. But this is the worst show I've seen from PA Works yet. I really wanted to like this show. T_T Oh well. I did think this episode was cute, because it allows me to pretend all the other events never happened. I'll be watching the last episode. I've come this far. Might as well finish it. |

well call me different but I did actually liked & enjoyed episode 12, much...
still think anime watchers these days base too much weight on things like P.A. Works this, Kyo-Ani that... and heaven forbid Urobutcher this & that... have I mentioned Okada? where has the days gone when people watch the show and not the studio that makes it, with the delight of seeing things as a child, NASHI all the pre-conceptions... oh well

Oh god, PA ripped off Yuasa (director of Ping Pong) and failed horribly
Aside from that mess, parallel world cast is turning out to be far more tolerable than the idiots in David land. Why couldn't we have started (or stay) with this crew?

Loved the visuals this episode; I'm a fan of snowy settings in general, and Touko looked great in her winter get-up (Kakeru looked pretty snazzy too). The manga-styled panels were also an interesting stylistic choice; not sure I've ever seen that used in an anime before, but I wouldn't mind seeing it spread and start cropping up on occasion.

Hayamin is OP. She makes people watch bad shows just because she voices trolls and bitches (and her characters are good looking most of the time). But don't nerf her please. Too many bad popular VAs out there!
Also without her voicing Yanagi for this series, I'm pretty sure I would have dropped it long ago. |

As pointed out already by others, this would've been an excellent standalone episode set in a "what if" scenario, an ingenious reversed episode 1. But, being placed as the penultimate episode of the series it makes absolutely no sense.
Touko was probably imagining the situation, but then again, it was not the time nor the place to put this.

This one for me was really a strong episode. I'm leaving the interpretation of the alternate world to others but I believe it's not really the payoff of the series. That alternate vision just goes to show the culmination of conflicts that Touko is facing. Her first dilemma would be her being an artist or a glass artisan. I think it's the first time that it was mentioned if she'll take over for her dad. Secondly, Touko finally realizes that she was missing her friends. She hasn't met the whole group for some time. And if you look back at episode one, she did promise to keep them together. It is the choice between romantic love and friendship. Stretching it further, there's still Kakeru & Yuki (though this might be settled). But we do see Yuki still liking Touko in this world. On top of this, we could also see Kakeru's unconscious desire to have friends just as important as romantic love. |

Episode was interesting because it was just different and I was anticipating a final explanation to the future fragments, but clearly it's 2deep4me.
I feel this alternate timeline or whatever it is has some profound meaning but I can't comprehend it. |
