The first war is more likely to be ep 14 because they need to give reactions about giving the twins to Haku and introduce Sakon. Also, there probably isn't enough time for the escort mission because more time is needed for setup of Anju's event, which likely to be in ep 10. So I think ep 10 is likely to be some sort original about romance and setup the fake kidnapping event for ep 11 and it's aftermath.

I think you're on point. If the episode titles are anything to go by,
Episode 9 is Kamyu and Aruru. Episode 10 is some romantic sidestory, probably with Atui. Episode 11 is the kidnapping. Episode 12 is the twins. I think Mikazuchi will be introduced in episode 13, so the war will start in episode 14. I really don't understand how they're choosing their episodes for the first half though. Episode 8 felt like it came out of nowhere, and I fail see the purpose of episode 10 at all. |

It seems they have chosen to sacrificed the agent missions and some darker remarks to emphasize the peaceful life in the capital, and give Haku and Kuon more characterization while reducing other characters' depth. Personally I'm not very fond of this choice because Rurutie should be the best waifu and the backbone of their peaceful life, and the works of agent is crucial to the rhythm of the story. But this is an understandable choice and anime can have different story structure. The ep 10 is a setup for ep 11, because romantic love is the cause of the incident, which in turn reflects to Kuon's character. The reference to romantic love is also necessary because it does play an important part of the story. |

I understand where you're coming from Alf. However, I believe that there could have been better ways to deliver everything you said without sacrificing coherency.
If the romance subplot is set in stone, then they should have used the game's version of Atui in episode 5. The way the anime presented it - it almost implied that she fell for him instead. Then using episode 5 as a basis, episode 8 could have been the escort mission. This would have provided a bit more into Oshutoru's character, while giving spotlight to the other characters as well. Moreover, this would flow more naturally with episode 10, since this is Atui searching for love after all. Also, I'm not entirely sure why Aruru and Kamyu are coming so soon. The whole Dekopopo corruption could have made a good followup story to the escort mission. I would guess that it's intended for foreshadowing, but the fact that war with Tuskuru comes WAY later makes it a pretty weak reason. |

Either that, or it might be Kuon and Haku.
Hakuoro = white emperor, after all. Now, 4gamer have also reported about it. Dengeki also, and Famitsu. Last edited by LROlsson; 2015-11-28 at 02:46. |

I would expect that to. Also they are probably going to reuse much of the art and backgrounds.
The 3D engine and models are also probably going to be reused also with some tweaks. It took 4 years(2011-2015) for Itsuwari to come out after it's announcement, and the development of the third game could have made it take longer than necessary. |

Before the release of Itsuwari they said that the third game is being made along with it. But they planned to finish it 1,5-2 years after second game release. I wonder, why they shortened it to only 1 year?

Maybe they thought it would take that long, or they only said that to be safe in case some unknown trouble would appear.
After they said that it would take that long, they said that it wouldn't take 2 years, and after that said that they would soon be done with the final scheduling so they would know when they could release it. Wouldn't surprise me either if the success of Itsuwari made them put higher priority on Futari. |

Kinda, it's adapting the same story as the game but in a different way. It's anime original but at the same time it's not.
The story is slow, might feel even slower since they seems like they will cover all the daily life stuff before going serious unlike the game where it was a mix(even though it felt like it took forever for the first war in the game). Expect it to continue like it has until the opening will change for next cour I guess. |

Well, basic plot points are pretty much the same, with many of the agent jobs omitted and a few changes to order of events. Some of the details can be found a few posts earlier in this thread.
Execution is quite different though. In the game there are the agent jobs and occasional hints of Haku's past to carry the first half of the story, and the SoL parts have more room to make it much more effective. I guess that's the problem of having the game and anime released nearly the same time that the script writer of anime would do the writing differently with the same basic plots points, while the merit is that you don't feel repeated by going through two different version of the same story and fitting the story more to the anime media format. Some details from an interview in famitsu have arrived to the net.
The digital sales of Itsuwari no Kamen was 15%, and it still sales 6-700 copies a week. They will 100% not release a X-rated version of Itsuwari no Kamen for PC. The scenario and music of Futari no Hakuoro is almost complete, and the scenario will have more volume than what Itsuwari no Kamen had. source |
