I remember reading a few manga chapters a while back but couldn't get into it. It looks like, similar to Shirayuki-hime, this the type of story I can definitely enjoy more as an anime rather than a manga. Especially when the directing is so top notch.

Never noticed how retro the character designs were in the manga. I like it.

I read some of the manga after watching the first episode. Quite a bit was re-arranged but I think it was done well and enhanced the source material. Fingers crossed that they can keep this up.

To be fair, he was imagining his younger self with her, before dismissing it completely.

It would help more if he'd dismissed it because he's old enough to be her father and because he's her boss, rather than because he thinks she has a boyfriend.

I think he dismissed it more because he didn't think his younger self would be good enough even if she didn't have a boyfriend. I doubt he was even thinking about his older self being with her.

It's pretty obvious Mr. Kondo is rebound after Tachibana had to quit Track&Field, but that laugh was genuine regardless. Even if I don't know for how long, I think it could work for these two.

I feel like the manager and her relationship feels more natural after this week's episode. The laugh she gave came out naturally but also, the confession came out too.

Also really liked the scene when Akira was running. It felt like she really wanted to help out the customers and also prove herself to the manager.

The art in this show is something incredible. Not just the backgrounds but the incredibly lifelike detail in the character movements are just amazing. Kondo's frantic gesticulations to get Tachibana in the car had be laughing hard.

That ending was really interesting though. Did Kondo actually understand Tachibana's confession or not? At first I thought he genuinely misread it but he also seemed to be trying really hard to get out of that situation and it looked really suspicious.

I would say he was just genuinely happy he's not hated. I mean sure that thought crossed his mind, but he is middle aged divorced divorced guy and she is old to be his daughter, she is also very attractive. What are chances she would mean it that way?

Even If he acted bit forced it would be because he tries not think it's even option.

Akira's purple eyes are so beautiful, I love it when we get a close-up on her face whenever she stares at what makes her heart flutter. Too bad Mr. Kondo misunderstood her as in liking him in general. xD

It makes sense though. Which middle-aged man in a dead-end job, especially one as nice (and dense) as Mr. Kondo, would thinking that such a beautiful Highschool Girl would have fallen in love with him. Gonna make it hard for Akira though that Mr. Kondo sees her as a woman and not as a child.

The art of this anime is just truly amazing. That confession though, the reaction of the manager was understandable. He panicked and wanted to get out of the situation as soon as possible. I'm interested to see how this plays out next time.

Excellent episode. Akira managed to become a little closer to Kondou. I think Koudou genuinely misunderstood her confession, in his mind it's probably impossible that a high school girl could be in love with him. He seems to be pretty dense in general too (that whole conversation about her toe nails, seriously? ).

I think is better to group manager with those who have common sense than with those who are dense.

I'm of the opinion that Kondou really did misunderstand what her confession meant. He's already dismissed the idea of a high school girl being interested in him, so the idea that Akira likes him romantically never entered his mind.
