Mental health awareness is not something that is prevalent or well educated in Japan. Given that Arima already stated that internet hate is a part of show business, and that Akane naturally couldn't tell anyone, then it falls on Yuki and the others to be aware of the risk of suicide themselves.

But if Yuki personally never contemplated suicide herself, then it'd be fairly unlikely that she would be able to empathize and expect what Akane is going through.

He's not that nice of a person. I think it's more likely that he wants to expose the staff wanting to show drama.

Even without attempted suicide in the equation, basically hanging her out to dry was bad. As you said, they're in show business and they know how it works. They knew she would get tons of hate message and that it would obviously affect her career, yet none of them openly supported her.
