Hohemheim came to speak with Lyra to convinve her to stop her actions against Ed and gang.

However Lyra refuses to comply and the look of suspicion surfaces on her face while they were talking about the birth of the Philosopher's Stone 400 years ago and about the Gate.

Episode 46 : Human Transmutation

Al visits Tucker to enquire about the methods to use the Philosopher's Stone.

Tucker who has not given up trying to regrow Nina, demands an equivalent trade for the information. It looks like Al who has become the Philosopher's Stone, might be forced to submit or something......

Episode 47 : Homunculus Sealed

Ed tries to get to Al in a hurry, trying to cut his way past Wrath in a violent fight.

On the other hand, Alphonse is looking in terror upon the figure of Sloth who appeared before his eyes.

A split second before the shocked-into-inaction Alphonse could be taken away by Sloth, Ed appeared, clutching a bundle taken from Resembool...

Episode 48 : Farewell

On the snowy mountains lines a formation of soldiers, Armstrong sets them off towards Central, declaring that they are to gain control of Central Headquarters.

Among the tension filled army, Winry appeared in front of Ed and gang.

However, this meeting was just another trap...

...Tucker is still involved in the main events. But no mention of Roy...hmm...and Armstrong leading the attack on Central? All sounds like Pride's been exposed and the military is in disarray. I'm so looking forward to Ep.47, that should be a corker.

Regarding episode 45

Spoiler:

If the Philosopher's Stone whether or not successfully had been created by then, does it means that the stone that Al holds is a second one?

I thought Dante and Hohenheim were much older. Dante likely about 700 years, and Hohenheim about 500 years old.

If the first Philosopher stone was manufactured 400 years ago, then that means that the previous Pride, Envy, Gluttony, the previous Lust, and Greed were and are about from 150 years to 400 years old?

Regarding episode 48

Spoiler:

Can be likely that Dante (Lyra) ordered Envy to pay visit to Rizembul with the sole purpose of finding any clues or materials about Hohenheim's research?

If that could turn out to be the case, Envy may likely have acquainted her/himself with the Rockbell's relation to the Elrics, and Envy may be impersonating Winry to lure Ed and Al thus delivering another psychological blow against them.

I really doubt that "current" Winry is Envy. After all, Sheska has been with her since their eavesdropping escapades on Sloth (who was coincidentally talking to Envy on the phone). Besides that, I can't really see Envy being able to make that mad running bike thing Hawkeye so kindly blew up for them. Having said all that though, between now and ep48, there's MORE than enough time for a bit of Winrynapping followed by replacing. Or maybe we all just miss Envy so much we wanna see what's he's been up to, the "trap" could just be Winry telling them something she heard that turns out to be false.

They are written in the Gangan monthly magazine (it was just released), which has the FMA manga in it as well..

The synopsis are indeed from Shounen Gangan. They give some prominent points about the episodes (though not a lot of details and sometimes creates more mystery instead) but are also skimpy so that you won't know everything.

Oooh, good thought, Dante's probably been having someone watch Hohenheims house... maybe whoever that was, was the person to go in and grab Sloth after she was created. Sloth managed to disappear between the time it took Ed to make a second trip to the gate, and Al to wake up in his new body.

Presumably if there was anyone watching the house, they stopped after it was burnt down.

Well, it is a possibility. The series is winding up soon and like 99.99% of all animes, it must not let the evil empire stand. So a good hero is supposed to rise up, rally the people and overthrow the evil empire. Who better to do it than Major Armstrong?

Of course the question is : what would the people make of President Armstrong (I assume he'll discard the military title Fuhrer since he would likely abolish military rule, but keep the social title President) ?
