I kind of suspect this is going to be not my kind of thing, especially as I've no history with this franchise, but I'll give it a few more episodes to get more an idea of it.
But that Puck sounds like they've been dropped in from a completely different series.

I've no idea why, it's ridiculous lol. She seems darker skinned in the PV image for the anime...but that might because she's covered in flames.

Puck was actually one of the few things I liked a lot in this episode, he's pretty cute and a good laugh.

Leave while you still can. There is no harm done yet. All you're going to accomplish if you keep watching is ruin for yourself one of the best and most intense manga story ever written.

This adaptation is awful. They removed so much important content only manga fans will be able to understand anything (they might go back to it later to let the people who watched the movie understand what happened, at least I hope so), the animation is terrible and the music is mediocre. Seems to be censored quite a bit too. There is no point whatsoever in watching this unless you're a manga fan.

i think it's just the lighting too.

The fact that they showed Schierke & Fiora this earlier probably means they are going to animate that part later in the anime. It's a waste of 3d model otherwise.

Be aware that this series is a sequel to the movies, you'll probably be lost if you don't at least check them out.

You need to watch the previous adaptations first because this is sequel..

But yeah, while the manga is one of the best there is, there have been a lot of negative feedback since the start of the movies, mostly because of the CGI...

It's a shame that the 17 year old original TV adaptation is still the best animated incarnation of Berserk there is. Not being at all familiar with the manga(but I have watched the orig TV and 3 movies) this felt lackluster all around. Glad I'm not a manga fan of the series if its removal of content is as bad as people say.

Be cause those content are mostly flashback from the past which already show in 1997 series and movie. It will be too redundant if they show it again

It's interesting... but I'm still used to the older Guts.

Yeah, characters are "whiter", but it doesn't bother me.

Animation doesn't make or break an anime, but it can certainly hinders our enjoyment of it. I find it acceptable.

Black Swordsman(at least not all of it) wasn't in the crappy films or the 97 anime.
