Frankly, many consider TS to be the one of the better C&C Games, but I prefer classic RA1. Even if it's two years younger than I am - old stuff is good, though, so meh.

I figure they're doing this so that new players won't feel totally alienated by the story.

I like EA lately, they care about their playerbase and not just the markets. Will be fun to try these games out again.

It's my favourite C&C game.

The memories of mass Orca attacks of bomber and fighter variants or entire legions of Light Infantry dominating all but the thickest defensive lines of artillery.

Smart. Nobody except a few die-hard fans are actually going to buy such an old game, so there's no reason to slap a pricetag on it. This way you get more people to play it.

The franchise is going to end anyway. Ever since EA bought out Westwood, the games, IMO, went downward spiral in terms of gameplay.

Heck there aren't even bugs to exploit anymore.

I think multiplay's still up thanks to XWIS. There are also mods and sites that are devoted to C&C2.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.
