Never mind, decided to "stop" after the 260 filler. I figure that shit hits the fan from now on and that this arc will take a lot of episodes to complete. So the time to collect the new eps has started again :-(

Of the recent episodes, 279, 280 and 281 were filler. Episodes 284-288 will also be war-related filler.

can some one help me, i have been disconnected into watching the episodes as i mostly read the manga for the series now, but i do want to watch some particular episodes

The events you are alluding to have yet to occur, and judging by the pacing of the series I do not expect them to occur until sometime in January.

Any idea why Kakashi killed Rin? I'd sworn it was mentioned a long time ago somewhere that Rin was being controlled and told Kakashi to kill her, but I'm not exactly sure.

random question, but what did akatsuki need all the money for that kakuzu was in charge of gathering? they didn't really need to buy anything from what i can tell... maybe a stockpile of robes? =/

they needed money to finance the organization and it's members, the akatsuki members don't go around making money from themselves, so they probably get funds for their expense like living,food, clothing,weapons, gear etc, also from this.

but that seems unnecessary. when you have powers like akatsuki has, then why bother buying any of those things? they can either make them with their powers or steal/take them with their powers. its not like theyre above stealing food or genjutsuing a bunch of cooks to prepare meals all day. they are a bunch of murderers who kill/collect bounties for their money... which they dont even really need as far as i can tell

I always assumed it was for Nagato to fix Ame (what with him destroying it and all). The rest of the funds could have been used for the multiple spies and other lower level agents. And sometimes it is easier, and better long term, to simply grease a few palms rather than kill all who oppose you. Then again, it could have just been busy body work for Kakuzu .

hmm. sounds legitimate, but nagato did say they needed a vast sum...

Because he is an Uchiha as well as he has the Senju cells, giving him the power of Rinnegan. With Rinnegan, he is able to control the Juubi (10-Tails), which other bodies are not. Hope I helped.

Because apparently an Edo-Tensei body made of dirt and ashes cannot be made a host for the Juubi. Assumedly the Edo Jinchuuriki were a different case because they were only rented the power of the Bijuu through Gedo Mazo.
