I was wondering the same thing after I saw the color pic in vol 7.
His armor seem almost like a mix between demonic and angelic...... or something like that.

Probably, not necessarily.

And we are all kinda wondering the same thing wingsofdragonix. It is clear he isn't just a member of the hero tribe. It could be that his mom is an angel devil hybrid, or his dad is a devil hybrid, it's the influence of being bonded with the frigging demon lord, or cause the author/artist thought it would look bitchin.

At this point take your pick.

Well, Basara's mother is an angel so he have some angelic powers too. Jin as far as I know is something like a half demon (not sure).

Well, until someone finds a quote explicitly stating otherwise, let's use this as the reason Jin (and Basara) got Demon (and Angel) chicks after them. After all, there's a significant amount of girls that like bad boys, as unfortunate as it may be at times.

I just find it incredibly unlikely that hero village zealots would let one of their own pair up with a demon.
Jin was said to be the pride of the village, was he not? Why would they have a half demon among their ranks, much less give him that kind of respect?
The only source I can find for that statement is /a/, so take it with a pinch of salt.

There is different ideas:

-Jin is the pride of the village.
-Doesnt mean the village is limited only to "humans with powers aka heroes" because if they want power to fight demons and other kind of enemies they need power, leaving aside this power comes from a half demon.
-Kurumi have GODS help so she is not a 100% hero power user, this shows how they use power from other factions.
-Old hags from the village have the cursed sword with them, A CURSED SWORD with a demon sealed inside.

In the end is very plausible to say Jin is a half demon.

Some people who can read japanese provides some spoilers, and everything comes from the untranslated volumes. Also is not hard to figure what is going on just looking the illustrations.

I think people just let their imagination run rampant when they saw some illustrations lol although I wouldn't be surprised if most of those do happen
