It's really not needed. I prefer the original manga in that manner.

The only filler that makes some sense is Vegeta, after reviving, tries to join the fight against Freeza. At least that answered my query of "Why didn't he notice the huge amount of ki from Goku and Freeza after he was revived?" For someone so obsessed with being powerful, the least he should have, after coming out from his grave, is noticing it, rather than being shocked after Gohan tells everyone Goku turns SSJ.

IMO, Dragonball Kai is just a halfassed circumcised POS knockoff compared to DBZ.

That is all.

No silly fillers = better series imo.

IMO, DBZ is an overweight floundering couch potato compared to the lean and mean story that is DBKai, and the manga.

Also, the only knockoff I see is the trashy fillers getting knocked off the show, like the post above me said.

I would normally agree, but with DBZ for me, it either had GREAT filler moments or bad/meaningless ones. To me, more Gohan or Piccolo is always great. I always thought they got too small a presence in the canon material.

there are good fillers, there are bad ones.

in my opinion, the filler with tao pai pai, just before Cell games is a great one - good moral story is behind it.

and, i like to see super sayajins in their relaxed state

Canon only isn't always superior to having some of the filler left in there. There's been filler in DBZ that improved and enrichened the series and I definitely hope won't be removed. Though admittedly a lot of filler was very weak.

now when i looked at Kai version - i liked gohan vs full freeza.

it shows us that little dude has some dragonballs, and that he fought with a just cause - to stop freeza, at any cost. there is nothing bad about it. he tried, got his ass whoped, until Goku got out from the ground.

it actually makes more sense - every sayajin experience matters, and we all know what he did against cell

Haters gonna hate~

Manga material isn't the only important content to some of us.

lol, your statement brings back some nostalgia alright. I instantly remember Goku trying to pick up a glass in Super Saiyan mode, only to have it shatter into millions of pieces

I still laugh at the episode where he tried to learn how to drive, only to make a big fuss as usual. And yet that was filler and it will not be present. Come on! One of the most comical - non action moments and they take it out.

Yeah, I liked that filler as well. It was especially funny how they brought Piccolo along, lol.

Nothing's stopping you from watching it on your original discs or the funi-remaster. It's not like they're eradicating it from existence or anything.

Exactly. Why a lot of people don't understand this is beyond me. What's silly is how they complain about too much filler in DBZ, and now that DB Kai is removing the majority of it, they're still complaining? Isn't this what the fans have always wanted? I don't get it.

For the record, I personally never complained about filler in DBZ, and the main complaints of others probably were mostly because of the extended fight scenes, most prominent in the Namek fights.

I never said "away with filler" myself. It was more like "speed up all of it" than "remove it".

The driving episode is so overrated it hurts. It was amusing, but not OMG FUNNY.

I only really liked it for Piccolo's attire.
