I was bopping hard to that song during the final scene. And those fangs are a winner in any season.
The show also seems to be exploring some interesting subjects with the MC clearly having family issues to explore. Very likely to continue with this one.

Story plot seems like a generic Rom-Com with Adult Humor included.
I mean, its basically a story about a Teenager with issues and who doesn't know what it feel like to love something or someone. And he meets a Girl who happens to be a Vampire, who helps him get a new look at life. The only catchy aspect is the Animation & Music.

This had what felt like one of the weirdest OPs I've seen in a while. The pacing, pausing in the middle, and overall feel of it was a bit odd. Not awful, but just a bit odd.
Episode itself was pretty solid. I'm not big on vampires, but this still worked well. Although I couldn't help but continually compare Nazuna to BnH's Toga. Something about the designs just kept me going there. But honestly the characters were nice and this was a solid intro. Heck you could argue that if anime did one-shot episodes that this would be pretty good at that. Told a pretty nice little story and ended on a positive note. Seems like the future relationship with these two will be pretty enjoyable. They've got good banter when Ko is comfortable opening up. And Nazuna while having her allure is also able to be shaken up. Tough break for Ko. He didn't make anyone fall in love with him and yet get a lot of grief when turning the person down. Not that I don't get why her friends would care about their friend's rejection. But still ridiculous to harass a person over it. The girl probably didn't want them doing that, but they still acted out on their own.

They hit the vibe and feel of being out at night all alone or with a very small group of friends (and no one else around) pretty perfectly. A peaceful stillness and then a little rush when you realize that the space and time you find yourself is solely yours. That feeling. |

The night has never looked prettier, colorful, and more romantic than in this show. The type of series for vampire lovers and insomniacs everywhere .
The Opening is pretty wild and quirky! With a lot of cool and fun visuals . So our protagonist Ko is a bit of a heartbreaker, having never been in love before or felt attracted to someone, so he's not really sure what to do...I feel bad for the girl, but he didn't deserve to get ganged up by her friends. And it seems like Ko doesn't have a great family life either . And with all his troubles and inability to sleep, the only solution Ko can think of is resorting to underage drinking...before a free-spirited and playful young girl in love with the night happens upon him and shows him how wonderful it is. Although I'm kind of surprised he didn't really notice the fangs . Gotta love a girl who gets along so well with the local drunks and is just really cool and chill! And Sora Amamiya plays her so well . Pretty surreal for a middle schooler to get taken to some girls' apartment, watching her strip to a revealing outfit, and then go to bed with him. I mean, lucky dog . Has Nazuna been picking random people off the street at night, taking them to her place, and then feeding on their blood while they sleep? I mean, it ultimately seems harmless but still . So if vampires have to fall in love to get turned, does that mean Nazuna was formerly in love with the vampire that sired her? Or was she a naturally born vampire, maybe ? Ko sees salvation in becoming a vampire, a creature of the night, and seems determined to fall in love with Nazuna to make that happen...and Nazuna, for her part, sees him as her tastiest meal, which I guess will be enough to keep these two together as the plot proceeds (and they potentially both mutually fall in love with each other). These two will have the night all to themselves .

So I see Vampires share the same Japanese belief of equating eating with procreation...and this is probably the most I have ever seen the world "copulating" used in an anime .
Nazuna's legs and thighs...just, Nazuna's legs and thighs ! Ko has a strong desire to fall in love with Nazuna to become a creature of the night and Nazuna has a strong desire to keep partaking in his blood. It's not exactly love quite yet, though it's inching towards that conclusion, but it's enough to keep these two drawn to each other . The way Nazuna just casually talks about grabbing rando's to drink their blood. Man, I love this girls' entire vibe and Sora Amamiya's delivery . I was actually kind of wondering how old Nazuna was given how old school her phone was, given vampires don't often age, although she made it sound like it wasn't long before cell phones were created. Then again, time might come off differently to a vampire . Ko is already getting invited in to sleep with Nazuna again...although he's jealous he's not the only guy whose blood she wants. Even though it turns out she was looking for him as much as he was looking for her. These two just can't help themselves . Ko and Nazuna geeking out over the transceivers like actual kids. Props to Ko for feeling no shame at his lack of friends and not having the guts to go through with his original transceiver content, but now it can be a couple thing between him and Nazuna . The dirtier Nazuna drinking his blood feels, the more Ko's feelings for her are growing? Although sucking blood on top of a school at night? Such horny teenagers . Nothing more romantic than flying through the night together with a nice insert song . Yeah, Nazuna is pretty dirty and raunchy in terms of her dialogue, but she seems very unaccustomed to actual romance and intimacy. It makes me wonder about the vampire that "birthed" her, if that was the case . I wasn't expecting Ko's transceiver story to come back to relevance with the main plot. Is this new girl from his school the person who activated the other transceiver? She doesn't look like the girl that confessed to him but it seems like she knew him. Also, Yumiri Hanamori !

Episode 2
Despite all the lewd jokes, it still feels so pure. Animation once again was pleasing to the eyes. Pace so slow and relaxing that the 20 mins watching it felt like an hour had passed. Certainly a show best enjoyed at night.
