Years have passed since the legions of hell have set foot in this world, but now a new demonic invasion has begun, and humanity’s last hope will rest in the hands of three lone demon hunters, each offering a radically different play style. United by fate and a thirst for vengeance, these demon hunters will have to face their demons in the hope to survive.

Glad to see them returning to the original Devil May Cry series. This might take place after DMC2, considering how aged Dante looks. Hard to pin down his age exactly, could be anything between mid 30s and mid 50s. Maybe he's more of a mentor figure in this game? The gameplay looks good so far. This is easily one of my most anticipated games now.

"For me he really has the image of the coolest possible guy. In this installment we really wanted to make Dante the coolest guy in the world, so first the team asked, "what makes a man cool?" and the answer was well, men are really cooler, stronger and wiser when they are a bit older, perhaps in their 30s or 40s. At that age they have a lot of experience, and if they have kept in shape, a slightly older man can be very strong. We wanted to show Dante at this cool experienced stage."

I don't care if Nero looks like DmC Dante, I'm still excited for this.

Though I wonder if Dante appearing in a motorcycle means that we finally have a game set after DMC2.

Seems to be the case. I heard that bike is the same bike he rode off on in DMC2.

We have a bit more gameplay

It's been 10 years since DMC4 so my boss came to me and said that in order to keep it relevant for today, we'll need to make something that you can take one glance at and know that it's quality.

So we chose to make it with a photorealistic graphic style. We found, though, that without the proper care photorealism combined with gaming animation can lead to what I refer to as an uncanny valley of action.

So we put a lot of effort in to ensure that the game would still play with that tight Capcom play control, but still feel at home with realistic graphics. We'd love for fans to pay careful attention to how that feels.

It's a sequel, not a re-imagining this time. It's the same guy. He still uses the same sword and they explained he lost his devil bringer.

Any info on the third playable demon hunter?

Yup. Same motorcycle handle sword (Red Queen), same twin shot revolver (Blue Rose), mechanical arm to replace the cut Devil Bringer.

As for the third hunter, none so far.

I would say low. There's a high chance it's probably Vergil but personally I have a hunch that it isn't Vergil.

I mean, technically we don't even know if 'V' is even a 'he' so curve balls are possible.
