just read the first few chapters of this and it seems really funny. It's by SATOU Shouji

I checked this out and well "not bad" is how I would put it.

The cyborg/robot guy interests me the most, plus he's pretty funny.

I read that it came to a abrupt ending to it due to the magazine publishing it stopping, so kinda reluctant to actually go on with it but I will none the less, just for the sake of it.

I think the author should work on one thing at one time. It was also because he was working on so many things that we had that long hiatus with HOTD.

No, that was the writer's fault (Daisuke Sato). Shouji Sato only started Triage X and Fire Fire Fire BECAUSE HotD was on hiatus.

He's a hard worker, so he's fine doing multiple series at once I think, and for a time, he had all three going at the same time. Fire Fire Fire's over now though and Triage X is on temporary hiatus at the moment due to the extra work that the color edition of HotD needs, I think.

The second volume is coming out in April and will be the last volume. Its serialization ended already.

That's some seriously random stuff right there...anyway, I kinda got the plot down later on, JIga is looking for Japanese people (Nihon=Japan), and Lion wants his original body back (which means it was taken away from him at some point in time). They are both related to obsidian, which is apparently very rare and durable, I suspect it also has something to do with the sky turning gray (from the title 3x fire, and the fact that obsidian is created when magma cools down)...
Anyways, it's a fun read but I feel like there's something missing.

Yeah, totally agree, though I can't quite put my finger on what the problem is...

Post-apocalyptic wasteland adventure, with heavy weapons, hot girls, and great art by Satou Shouji.. what's not to love!?!?

But it just feels flat, and it barely keeps my interest long enough to keep turning the pages. Hmmm..

Waste of a thread really the manga was finished when the magazine was cancelled there only another 2-3 chapters after chapter 5.

No, actually, there are 7 more chapters. The series is 12 chapters long.

Shouji Sato wants to continue it so who knows, it may be continued some day.
