this series remember me the "slice of bread" shining hearts, where the premise was a fantasy adventure anime but ended being just "bread" allmost every episode was "bread" no romance, no action, no adventure just bread even the final fight was a "popeye like with the mc eating the spinach... ops bread and almost one shot the enemie ship, just to go back and "does/eat more bread".
but unlike that horrible slice fo bread anime ateliar at last is funny and not look "soo boring" as the bread one was, we actrually get little romance little characters development and info/background some comedy, while the other was just "bread".(like someone pointed i strong believe that anime was some sort of "evil scheme from the bakeries in japan to make peoples eat more bread). |

hopefully the last 4 episodes will go into the actual story. Surprisingly this show just has enough charm to keep me interested despite not being overly exciting so far. It's like watching a fun cutscene at the end of the week
The fact that I love the OP so much probably plays a huge part as well. 16th July can't come fast enough

They don't seem to worried about the main plot, I think that what they're trying to do is a "best of" the game, for promotional reasons. So even if they put the more serious stuff, I fear it'll be rushed (and it'd be a pity because there is some good, thoughtful material if the right time is spent on it).
Only Linca #3 appeared in Escha & Logy, Linca #1 was in Atelier Ayesha and she was evil to the point you actually had to fight her. Next week onsen episode, also anime original. The Atelier series has become very chast on fanservice with the Alchemists of Dusk saga, and I don't remember the anime having particular fanservice until now. I expected more of a swimsuit episode rather than a onsen one, but anyway let's see.

I thought the introduction of the multiple Lincas was not only totally out of left field, but also effective - the total sum result was that it reminded me once again that the world, the backdrop for this series is a whole lot richer than first glance, and not only rich but interesting.
Ep 7 was another very good one - this series really is just plain working for me on so many levels and so consistently. It seems ashame that it does not get more attention, but oh well.... ^^

Amidst the standard beach / onsen ep unexpectedly elements of metaplot seemed to slip in. Hmm. Was not expecting that.
This seems a series that could easily be stretched out into 2 or even as much as three cour - and perhaps not because of the story behind the individual game being adapted, but of the world as a whole. It just seems to become more and more detailed and rich, both in the sense of the main cast's background stories as well as the history of the setting as well. Spoiler for Overall meta speculation and ponderings...:
