From what I remember, the Kihara family hasn't been putting people in gas chambers because they are jewish/gay/communist/non-Aryan/thewholenineyards/etc by the millions.

Compared to nazis, Kiharas seem like the banality of evil.

But mind you, that's still seriously evil.

Yeah, they experiment on people, regardless if the subjects die. They do it even if you are a Kihara too. Remember Telestina in the Railgun spinoff?

Well, I'll be lying if I say it doesn't feel out of place, even though it's not technically a tournament, so much as it's an exhibition to discredit Academy City and it's Esper technologies.

But I'll also be lying if I say that I'm not eagerly anticipating the return of Academy City's number one family of evil, and how this might be the opportunity to introduce a fourth Protagonist to the series.

Agreed. Seeing as though Nayuta is in Judgement, and therefore part of the light side of Academy City, and Gensei's an old man, and Amata's dead, we'll be seeing some new Kihara insanity.

Perhaps something to do with their research facility?

The only reason why I seriously entertain that thought is because none of the three protagonists have been named in the synopsis, plus they don't strike me as the type to take part but rather they would work behind the scenes.

But we'll know soon enough, the cover illustration would be out on the 10th of this month, that's only two days from now.

I think the posibility of number 6 esper appering are high, I would also kinda love to see mr bond girlfriend be raised to a level 5, she is the kinda of oddball I see puting a dent on GREMLIN plans.
