Well, good episode. Hikaru annoyed me with his jumping around, but Focker really didn't help in that case. And Minmay to jump around too. Well, they are young after all.

And Global really is awesome. And the bridge bunnies are of course win again.

I wonder if the Macross has a 100% water recycling system like Galactica... lol.

Minmay really is oblivious to some things. She seems like a level headed girl, but she really isn't.

Misa sure is a great tactician though. She should have called it the Misa Attack, always name great ideas and stuff after yourself, haha.

I also checked out the Liner Notes for episodes one through six. All of those tidbits that Yot-chan pointed out were there too. So glad ADV included it and wish it was a more common bonus on other series.

Well to be fair, it's actually rather questionable how tactically sound trying to punch someone with an aircraft carrier in space is. OTOH, it IS literally the ballsiest thing that we've seen anyone in the series do.

It's a rather neat contrast I think. While Hikaru is pussy footing about "Oh! I've run into an enemy soldier first hand. Do I dare shoot him and watch the life drain from his eyes?", Misa just nonchalantly kills tens of thousands of them at the push of a button.

Damn Misa. You just dropped bigger balls than the protagonist.

So I have recently been casually keeping up with the rewatch...

Talk about shoddy refurbishment by OTEC. Macross is like an old man suited to live in a retirement home for the rest of his days, except humans just had to pull him out of retirement, put him in metal diapers and kick him into space.

Poor grandpa Mac, after hundreds of thousands of years, he had grown utterly senile. He is about as mentally stable as Hannibal Lecter, throws more fits than a drunk Russian, has more glitches that make Windows 98 look stable, and boy is he angry.

But nah, we humans can't get a clue.

Anyone keeping up with this anymore? I am near 27 now, and there are so many little gems littered along the way.

I have to say, the portrayal of the Zentradi is quite brilliant.
