As expected, but still good to have confirmation

(I predicted around September)

That would mean we'll get the Index Movie just as Railgun is about to come to a close.

Depends on how much the movie cost to make.

How much does it cost? Only God and Aleister knows.

Sweet, can't wait until it gets translated. I will finally be able to see spoilers and not have to run away like they're the plague.

I have the urge to try using that in a random conversation

Likely anything over 40k is pretty good. Excluding Eva/Gundum for their mainstream appeal, there's only been about 11 or so movies that have sold over that amount from late night origins. Of course, I expect it to sell over that amount, but I can't guess how much it will actually sell.

The original phrase was "Only God and Hitchcock knows."

But I've since modified it from that movie I saw as a kid...

Do movies tend to make otakus feel more worth while to spend that kind of loot on BD ?

One-shot releases have the chance to sell more since it's only a one-item purchase opposed to 6/7/9 volumes. It's not that bad compared to a TV series.

Does anyone know if the BD/DVDs will come with English subs like the Nanoha movies do? I have the urge to import them.

Highly unlikely. Very few releases in Japan outside Bandai/Warner Bros include Eng. subs especially on the initial releases. The movie is being distributed by Geneon Entertainment, who has put a few English dubs on BD-boxes, but very little in the way of English subtitles.

While there's still no official solicitation out yet, we have some details about the release. The LE BD set includes 2 BD +1 CD inside a Kiyotaka Haimura newly drawn box and digipak. The CD is the OST for the movie. Also included inside the box is a booklet, a reproduction of the recording script, and a reproduction film bookmark. Audio commentary will be on the main disc while the second disc features "making of" footage and other video extras such as shorts.

Edit: It's quite probable that the image at the top of this image will be the box artwork for the movie release:

Shouldn't it be: "Only God and Aiwass knows"

And if we compare it to Detective Conan movies: the latest one made over 3 billion yen. So... this is obviously not there yet. But, it's the first one. Hopefully we see many more.

That poster with Arisa holding the bonquet looks lovely

At this point I won't be surprise if they have started planning for not just Index III, but another original movie as well.
