I’ve heard it, the hyped up Orimura twins will enter this school, just like me. I wonder, are they up to the expectation they got from people?

I haven’t heard much about them, well, they’re green and the circumstances following their entry are absurd.

I cannot forgive it, of course.

As a cadet representative, I cannot bear this humiliation… surpassed by a pair of lucky ignorant… I’ll prove my worth.

It’s time for student assembly; everyone gathered in the largest Arena, Arena A. The roof itself is in fact massive semi-holographic monitor capable of simulating any kind of environment, such as the very sky itself.

Now, it’s used as massive auditorium instead, where each and every student sat in their assigned seat, divided by their class.

And how lucky, I could recognize THEM. Sitting right there, in the second row.

Anyway, the principal’s speech didn’t have my interest, however, what’s next is what caught my attention.

“To Orimura Ichika-kun, please come to the podium”

Said person apparently isn’t ready for that yet, looking left and right with confused face, half-heartedly walking down the stair toward the elevator and descend down.

(fu-fu-fu-fu, I guess I’m hoping too much)

By the time I saw him again, he’s standing aside the principal. However, he seems to be calmer this time, with straightened back and indifferent eyes.

“Anything you want to say, Orimura-kun?”

“Even though I’m the only one” he said, statement dipping with arrogance… “Even though I’m not supposed to be here, I still come. Even though people said I do not deserve this, I’m standing in front of you”

“I’ve realize that there are things that might be difficult to solve and things that will cause misunderstanding due to our difference, however, no matter what, we’re the chosen student of elite Infinite Stratos Academy. We are best of the best, and we should try with all our might to study, learn and improve even more”

“Even then, school is not only place for that. My older sister once said: to stop socializing, you’d better stop being human. Harsh as it sound, it does have some undeniable truth in it. Therefore, I wish we could be friends”

“My name is Orimura Ichika, please take care of me for the next three years”

With that, he bowed.

The sound of girls cheering echoing within the stadium, like the entire Pacific ring erupted in sequences. Almost like my own breath and heartbeat drowned by the claps and whistle. As if they’re moved by such… modest words.

I’ve heard this, Modern Japanese and their passive-aggressive politeness. Knew when to raise their head, knew when to lower it.

He does have that influence; he does have the charisma, but…

Such a shame… could be better than this…

My usual writing has more dialogue than there are description, this sound more like LN due to very low conversation:exposition ratio.

Chifuyu took a deep breath and bravely placed one hand on the door. “We're doing this Yamada. Let's go!”, came the battle cry as she twisted the handle. With a mighty shove, she threw away the five centimeters of solid plastic separating her and-

Normally, IS don't require much maintenance. And even if they did require a lot, it was relatively long and would mean that it was actually infinitely shorter than regular maintenance. As for setting it accordingly to proper tuning, that shouldn't take long either. So normally, just before launch, everything would be checked out and nobody would be left in the hangar. But why? Why is it that when Chifuyu wrenched open the doors that lead directly into the hangar. There were over twenty technicians working? All of their heads snapping to the door that made such an imposing noise. Even if it were a minority, a good five or so amongst those technicians were men.

It was a stand-off. Even if you called it that, it felt more like an awkward peepshow. Because, lo and behold. In the door accentuated by the bright locker room light behind, was Orimura Chifuyu in a string bikini- IS suit. Either way it was way more revealing than anything they'd seen on her. And the effect of this state of clothing was extremely powerful. It was so powerful that the men in the room nearly fainted while the women were ogling her in a state of embarrassed shock.

“Gah!”, Chifuyu ducked back into the doorway and slammed the passage shut. “Get out! Get out! Get out!”, she screamed at everyone from behind the door.

Now normally, Chifuyu had the power to convince people to do as she says on naught but a single word. Not on a decibel higher than a whisper and tone lower than her even the throatiest growl. But in this case, all was thrown out the window as all everyone could hear was that raspy high-pitched voice that cracked near the end in panic.

“Mo~e”, was what they all thought.
