Then again, most gundam series are quite sexist (to female pilot that is)
The fact that it's self evolving capability is crucial for earth survival. I.S. network gather data constantly, for every alien invasion thwarted, all of I.S. core gain something akin to shared experience.

Not the debate again please, this is discussion thread, not for that, and I hereby apologize for starting the topic in the first place. :|
The one that Eras mentioned? They exist in late eighties/early nineties, after Gundam bring real robot genre in the first place. "Young hero fall to the cockpit" is persistent tradition brought from super robot genre, Gundam just play or deconstruct it. One example I can mention is VOTOM, the main character is seasoned soldier.

I hate the latest Front Mission manga, it ruined my childhood memories of the game (to be fair, the politic was ultra realistic, it's the excessive war crime that doesn't fit the atmosphere at all) :|
No, he won't be an idol. He will be a superstar singer like Justin Bieber. The charm required is different (we already discuss it yesterday)

Crud all the mecha anime I'm looking into are super robot. don't they have any new real robot anime?(no AGE, not you) actually FM1 and 2 were more realistic and brutal compared to the sequels. the available manga is based off huffman conflict of FM1 if I remember correctly. |

@ Demi
Yes, it's based on the first game, 2nd Huffman Wars. It was brutal true, but mostly up to Red Eyes level, not Berserk/Ubel Blatt level of insanity. Even Scar of War, which is self explanatory, still quite chilling without overdoing stuff. Seriously, not five pages in the story and I see a Caucasian woman gang raped by OCU soldiers, and USN soldier mutilated an OCU pilot, now that's biggest bullshit in entire franchise for me. For fuck's sake it's a modern war in late 21st century, not Viking war or World War II! @ Eras Oh yes I forgot, what was in Ichika's monologue roughly after Ling's introduction.

Remember, both sides hate each others' guts. They've been fighting for decades so imagine male soldiers couped up in the 'rax for that long. Also, reiterate hate each others' guts. Basically racism applied to nationality instead of skin color/race.

@ Eras
Nah, video link is a no-no when I'm in home. Note - and then the six (and Motemitsu) do a music video like a boy band... per Tatenashi's *cough*request*cough* of course @ Demi Okay, I can accept that, but I'll stay the hell out of it anyway. Red Eyes is enough for my share of war drama.
