I associate Eris' weapon with Momiji's, actually.

We don't know if Momiji's technology have anything to do with the dog aliens' tech being given to Japan via the US. But it is now easy to accept the presence of Momiji's power armour AND her ability to summon weapons out of nowhere, by observing that Eris has far more advanced versions of the same things.

As for associations with games? I think of Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. And Shanoa, her ability to summon weapons many times her own size to beat the crap out of things.

Wow this episode was just crazy, and awesome so long as you don't try to take overly serious. It was hilarious at start when Eris thought she need to repay him that way because she looked his porn . And Eris's hammer pwning the tanks was like and then .

Also his Uncle seems a bit too amazing, maybe that's why Manami's been spying on them?

Hmm, last season's Dai Maou had an interesting talk about if one piece of tech saw another, and perhaps recognize it. Seems to me Eris didn't recognize Aoi's tech, so it either was heavily modified of existing tech, or.... simply tossed aside in terms of the plot

I am leaning a bit more on Aoi's tech being Dog related, would make sense if we think about why her superiors had her do the mission.

She needs to absorb the glyphs first before using them

If we connect Mr. Uncle being an agent of some sort to him sending Eris to Kio, there seems to be a big connection there, as I doubt the Uncle simply recommended Kio to Eris for the heck of it, while it seems easy enough to do so, it could work. Maybe the Uncle is an early generation Catian or was something like what MIB's Agent K was to the Zarthans, early contact.

I'd like to join in, but seeing as how I'm following my highest total yet since my return (8), I'd just look like I'm adding a needless voice in the matter

This episode confirmed not to take the show too seriously.

Ask any scientist or philosopher that has done any merit-able study or thought to first contact and there will be near universal agreement that initiating violence towards our first contact could easily go down as the single greatest mistake in human history with a very wide gap between itself and second place, and quite possibly our last mistake ever.

It would make sense if this organization wasn't government funded and was instead some kind of religious wackjob extremist group. At least then the story would make sense.

This episode also sort of hinted at there already being an alien presence on Earth which is maybe already in control, which would explain why Eris was targeted.

Yeah. It seems a lot of people on the internet everywhere have missed the clues concerning the Dog Aliens. In short, the only reason the governments were being so intent on killing Eris was because the Dogs told them to. The UFO cultists are just minor nobodies who wanted her dead for silly reasons.

Makes you wonder though. From what Eris said there are bigger fish out there and they don't take kindly to alien invasions. The Galactic Federation would wipe out anybody that tries to do so.

Speculating as an anime viewer, maybe the dog aliens have done something so bad (such as planetary invasion) that made them lost their home planet, and still being chased after by all other aliens even though they try to seek shelter on Earth.

According to Eris, simply contacting the dog aliens is already a violation of the intergalactic rules and is regarded as an involvement in "smuggling." Indeed the sole reason for her to stay quiet while being captured is to gather evidence regarding the involvement of dog aliens.

Not at all
You showed attractive screenshots without really spoiling and there're some nice ass shots

by the way Eizou Houden (original character designer) uploaded a sweet Eris on his blog
Spoiler for little nsfw / save space:

Some layout drawings by Noriko Morishima, the animation director of the series.

Yeah but does not longer when you have the material = to better than cramming up everything like they did with this episode although it was so amazing I am still excited way more than any other series TBH.

Well thanks for the compliment.......nice pic is that fan made? Any other site that has tons of these from this series.....wondering. Yeah the ass shot with her being out of suit was such a failure of censors......still thinking how pathetic (one second all you can see and then light beam)...they could have made such a win like Ladies VS Butlers and add later on tons of specials with DVDs.....but guess they are going to rely much more on the censors to a extent. Does anyone think so too?
BTW Bravo to all who are talking about the Dog aliens conspiracies......they are so great to read.

No it's drawn by the original character designer who illustrated the light novels. Unfortunately I haven't seen nice fanart on pixiv yet...
I've retained specially the light beams as censorship during nocturnal scenes D:

Wow, this show is so refreshing, especially in the sea of sameness I call summer anime season.

Maybe that's why the Dogs seem to be working behind the scenes. They want to take over Earth (for some reason), but don't want to draw the wrath of the Galactic UN.

Just watched the far more accurate TZM subs for ep2. A lot of things made more sense now.

A pity the fancy karaoke used caused my laptop to slow down too much.

Yeah, the mating season thing is lol. And I can see that in no small way, Manami was hoping that Eris gets taken away so she can have Kyo to herself. Manami is a very selfish person, though not selfish enough to be beyond forgiveness. In any case she now only has herself to blame in being third place in getting close to him. For crying out loud, Manami was complaining about not getting her dream job when Momiji lost far more.

Since found out how Momiji get into her air-tight bodysuit, the question left is how does she get out of it? She had to rip herself out like a moth?

And I find it interesting that the DIA called the CIA ancient fossils. I suppose the assumption there is that interplanetary relations are the "IN" thing, and that The Agency is left out of the loop and as such no longer relevant.

Finally, how does those droids walk around town with no one thinking twice? Well, this is Japan we are talking about. And some will just think they are some new gadget an American brought in.

I wouldn't be surprised seeing something like those walking in Japan given their love of robots and their world-class technology. Btw recently there is a wedding presided by a robot as cute as the assistant-roids.

On a side note, knowing that one of Eris's tasks is to investigate about the dog aliens, one has to wonder what is the next step the Catians will do after receiving Eris's report about them.

The mother ship and the K-on catgirls (voiced by the VA of Yui and Tsumugi ) who visited Kio at the end of ep 2 may come for roasted meat and diplomatic relationship in name, but may actually be more interested in eradicating the dog aliens on earth.

Anyway random speculations beyond the canon is fun.

I'd take a cheap shot and say she "materialized" it out, but that's too easy

I'll say she simply pokes a tiny hole into it, and voila, all the air is out.

But it is bullet proof...

Oh how this is easily 4koma material

Well the CIA doesn't travel off-world, so....

I think the thing there is if they talked, then it would be weird. They do look like toys.
