well, one advantage that Firefly has is Rice probably cannot leave Amphoreus. While Firefly can just show up in the Express.

I've been really behind and I finally finished the plot of the current patch just before the next one.

Spoiler for 2.1 Trailblaze Quest and the in-game teaser for 2.2:

I had to laugh a bit at the setup at the end. "Oh no, the Trailblazer's going to die?!" Oh yes, I'm so sure, when they literally just prefaced that with "hey, how'd you like to become our demigod of time?" When you've been using the "rewind time" mechanic all this while? Oh, and by the way, totally coincidentally, Castorice is going to be a playable character released next who grants the whole party a free revive?

Hmmm...



Don't get me wrong, I actually think the story is probably going be fine. Just... well, I'm not too sure what the point of is of doing a death tease for the protagonist character in a gacha game to begin with, and then also laying out what seem like all the cards to how you'll undo it. Of course, the real point is how this is going to develop Castorice as a character as she comes to terms with "death" and her powers related to it. The story's definitely been building up to that.

I also assume that somehow Trailblazer's resonance with the Oronyx is going to end up being key to the wider resolution with March. Perhaps, just maybe, they'll even use Trailblazer's "not-death" as some sort of trigger in some way to move that side of things forward (unless they want to save all that for the very, very end, which might also make sense -- keep up the long tease...).

As for the story of 2.1 itself, they wove together the Mydei and Tribbie character stories pretty well. Trianne's death makes it kind of sad to have the playable character when all three of them are still together. Of course, remembering that there used to be many, many hundreds more of them (those horror cuts of the room full of dolls) puts it into perspective.

As for Mydei, the whole trial was quite literally "the whole thing's in your head" the whole time -- a not unexpected "you have to face yourself" turn of events. So of course, the moment they finally resolve their lingering inner fears/doubts, the actual trial doesn't actually matter at all (happens off-camera instantly). Overcoming his doubts/fears was itself the trial. But the problem is that basically now they've made him too OP in the story lore, so they have to kind of sideline him, at least until more of the main characters have their own powerups. But I imagine this is all heading for a giant shounen finale where all the powered up hero/heroines fight together against... well, most likely the Stellaron and the forces behind it, or however they explain it.

Now... the real question... just how many "time games" are they going to play here? The whole Tribios backstory section sort of lightly played with this idea that "forces from beyond time" (i.e. us) were helping her in the past, but they sort of brushed it off. They also dropped a subtle suggestion this time that maybe the situation in Amphoreus has something to do with the path of the Trailblaze from the past. I'm somewhat fearful they're going to pull some sort of "Trailblazer from the future rewrote the past so that they could save it in the future" thing. (Or, like, to save March's life Trailblazer froze her and sent her back in time to encounter the Astral Express, etc.) As soon as you open the door to time games, it sets the stage for infinite paradoxes. We'll see if they try to avoid all that, but giving the Trailblazer the power of time makes me wonder if they'll be able to resist the temptation. I guess we'll see... (Of course, this is a staple of science fiction, so I guess it's not that surprising that they'll reference it at some point...)

Now I'm just dreading that we'll get mountains of silly posts on social media upset about "fake deaths" again as we had in Penacony, even though this couldn't have been more obviously choreographed without bright flashing lights saying "They're obviously not going to die! It's a plot device!"

my greatest joy in this coming second anniversary is finally could get rid of Yanqing and Gepard in my 50/50 lose pool. Would be a lot less painful if I have a chance of getting Fu instead of them. One of my accounts has an E3 or maybe E4 Yanqing, and I never use him, just levelled up to 20 to get the ticket. lol

and would be getting the free Ruan Mei. Getting her to E1 is sweet.

Got Castorice in 70 pulls. I lost in the LC banner and got another copy of Bronya's. However, I managed to get 2 copies of Castorice's LC in the 30th pull. Yay?

We're back. What happened?

Seeing the Black Grail and "All the World's Evil" mention in the Seals events reminds me that the Fate collab is fast approaching. Earliest is probably on 3.4. Though how will it fit actually? "We interrupt the destruction of Amphoreus to bring you visitors from another universe who crashed in the Express." Or maybe they just won't fit it in the current storyline and just be something that happened some time in the past that will be recounted.

Also, I wonder how it will affect the banner before since I'm guessing the collab will be on the second half of the patch. Only one left is Phainon. Either he will be broken as the poster child of the Heirs so people don't skip on him or he's disappointing or just average. And also with regards to the balance of collab characters too. How will they compare in the current scaling of the game or will they be just trophy pulls for collabs. Given how both IPs seem to like each works given the interview with Nasu before, I'm looking forward to it(and will follow the leaks to it).
Either way though, I don't have much savings since I want to get both Hyacine and Cipher. Send help Even knowing the collab a year in advance didn't help given the myriad of characters they've released in 3.X
New 4 stars never ever. All Heirs are 5 stars apparently.

Rappa can now do a 4 or 5 cycle clear in her half of MOC 12. Much better than Harmony MC.

these last fights in high levels of GnG are some of the most vigorous combat I've experienced. The oppoenents are really tough.

Didn't watch the concert so I only just learned that the collab details have been released. Saber and Archer as expected. The poster girl of Fate and the main focus of UBW. And even a free Archer. He's even a Quantum unit, the first male character for the element. Seems the banner will be staying for a long time but will have a separate pity so everyone will start at 0. And now that I think about it, they will also have their own LC. Definitely need to pull that or they'll be gone forever. I guess I'll ignore all Chrysos Heirs after Cipher.

It's beautiful but it feels a bit lacking? I guess compared to Yunli's it's not quite that impactful. Plus it's the Fate Zero Excalibur pose which she raises it over her head instead of the FSN/FGO one where she puts it over her shoulder first.

Yea, I wasn't thinking of pulling Cipher, but now I'm not even sure If I'll pull for Hyacine since I already have plenty of healers.

So, I'll probably save for the time being.
