I appreciate my monopoly over all things kenshin-related holding firm lol, for that I shall start slowly translating volume 2 now that I'm on break. I'll try to have something out right away for Christmas. I doubt I'll be able to finish the whole volume during break, but I'll see what I can do.

Well I finally got around to reading this LN and lemme tell ya there is a lot to take in after that first volume and I have some questions that I hope y'all are willing to answer:

1. do we know if kurou or lars killed Hyouka?

2. Is kurou content on having a harem or a single woman?

3. Is Kurou only interested in Sefi or does he become interested in Hinaka as well?

4. Does kurou wield Hyouka's blade? that part got me really confused

5. Is Kurou the strongest human? My guess would say yes.

that's it for questions but now I have to commend this series fot the one and only MC that actually makes a move on the woman he likes. I'm really digging this storyline because it took a big drastic turn away from the directions of say Absolute duo, Serei tsukai no blade dance, and Gakusen toshi asterisk (which i'm all reading and its crazy to balance out all the LN without getting confused). Also I love how the MC starts out OP as hell but not too OP and has a guy whos on par with him and not just some shadow. Thanks to TJP for translations and i'll be checking back for updates as I see we're up to V7 I hope we get an anime soon.

1. Well volume one strongly hints at who might have killed her. However, nothing explicitly states that Hyouka is indeed dead, she's only "missing". Nothing is conclusive from the first volume.

2. I don't really think he contemplated much about his girl situation. I believe in volume 1 he mentioned that he wants a simple lifestyle. Don't believe that view has changed yet.

3. More like the other girls become interested in him, but for Hinako, he said that he would try to resist. Key word being "try", she makes it pretty tough for him.

4. No, he wields a normal katana received from Hyouka.

5. Very likely he is

If you think "Swordies" = "Jedi", "light"="the force", you can understand why they win.
Bullet deflecting, force fire (mystic arts), force lighting, force wind/push, force jump and so on. Swordies have it all.

But like Jedi can't deflect flame-thrower, shock-ware mine or being beaten by Grievous' superior unorthodox swordplay, Sowrdies can be killed by the right method.
That's why MC can go against them. Scissor-rock-paper effect, i guess.

There will be more, but so far it isn't an unbearable number and they are all pretty likeable in my opinion. Example of unbearable for me would be DAL.

I find the swords in this novel are also good all around. And it's good to know they're just not throwin girls into a harem with Kurou so it's good to know there won't be an excessive amount if haremettes.
