Either Isayama ends the manga this year, or he did give Wit Studio a rough outline of how it gonna end. Lets hope he wont pull a Sorachi aka Gintama (It gonna end, honest!) on us.

Why this year? There's more than a year left until the final season air, and it's likely to be split cour again, which means even more time. If you also factor in the possibility the manga could end at the same time as the anime like what happened with FMA and other series, that's even more. I don't think there are many chapters left, but I seriously doubt it will end this year.

PV is out. Apparently, MAPPA is doing it (there were rumors it will be a new studio under I.G. Port and WIT, but seems like no).

I would be surprised if Ayaneru did NOT get cast in there. She appears to be the best match for Gabi.

Yeah, I feel like if anyone can comfortably take over the baton from WIT, it would be MAPPA.

It is official! Season 4 is getting the Season 3 treatment. The next cour along with the conclusion to the anime will air in Winter 2022.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting the wait to be this long. They ended on a huge cliffhanger too. I don't mind since I've read the manga, but it must suck for anime onlies.

The problem though is the hype for AOT will die down by then given the fact that the manga is ending the next month.

yap, only 1 chapter left. I thought they would finish the anime together with the manga but waiting for 1 year would really hurt. a lot. spoilers of the ending would be out by the anime shows up again. and a 1 year cooldown for the ending of the manga and anime would cool off the hype for the anime.

It's been made official via the show's twitter account.

Final season, part 2 will start broadcast on January 2022. An original animation episode will air before episode 76, recapping the whole story from Levi, Mikasa Ackerman, and Annie Leonharts' perspectives.
