Ao no Exorcist (Manga)

So I was unable to find the Ao no Exorcist Manga-Discussion thread, so I would like to start one! It's strange though, this is pretty good but there is no thread? Can someone point out the link if I'm wrong? And if not, let's discuss the most recent chapter!

Interesting back story behind First Class Exorcist + the high priest's first encounter. And I hope snakegirl will be forgiven :X

Pretty average for manga. The anime look more appealing.
First spotted the trailer then i read the manga.

Good shounen if you ask me.

Also hoping the snake lady gets her happy end. I hate it when redemption equals death.

The anime looks more appealing because it's still at the beginning (well and the studio actually knows what it's doing). The manga was like that, too.
Sadly once it got past the introductory arcs, meaning the Impure King stuff started, it went downhill faster than a bicyclist falling down a slope. The pacing is unbearably slow and the actual story isn't really interesting.
Spoiler for Manga:

i think the manga is good. it's not amazingly good but it's still better than most. the part about the exorcists, types of demons and the whole satan business is not new but the author managed to make the story interesting. the writing is not bad either, well i hope it won't turn crappy as the series progresses but for now it's pretty good and it's keeping me entertained.

I'm surprised to see this thread lack posts .. Is this series that unappealing?

Chapter 34 is out.

It's a wrap-up chapter.

Poor Rin he got friend-zoned.

I'm glad they finally become a group.
His reaction to the 4ever-friend declaration was priceless !

Regardind the little discussion going on here, it's maybe cause there is nothing really to discuss, besides Takara powers/identity or Mephisto plans.
But I'm okay with that, cause too much speculation can ruin a thread.

Too much might be bad, but only 8 posts since May is just plain disappointment ..

It's kinda funny too see their friends reaction when Rin asked them something.

"Well, we can't refuse satan's son order or he will burn us." What a bunch of tsunderes.

And, wth, did Konekomaru praying in front of Satan's son ...?

Indeed, it is.

Isn't he just making fun of Rin ?
Seems like the "satan's son" teasing will become a running-gag.

It was kinda annoying though, the length of chapters needed for Rin to unsheathe his sword was too long.

So far only until the Impure king arc started. The way the anime made Mamon disappear was different from the actual manga. And what happened afterwards (the final part with Yukio) has never appeared at all in the manga. The anime covered very little. I'm surprised they made an anime with so little plot of the original manga to work on.

For the first part the anime was able to reproduce what happened in the manga with great visuals.....until what they had of plot finished and started inventing. When that part happened, the manga was way better (in my opinion)

well in anime the okumura brothers din't kill the demon king ,they just defended his attempt of combining assiah and gehenna i hope there comes a second season, which follows the manga if the manga is that good
however i liked yuri's arc which was anime-only

True, it's kinda surprising to see they made it into 2cours anime rather than 1cour.

The animation was pretty decent but the story was average, well, weird if you read the manga afterwards.
