That would be logical, yes. However it would be more correct to think that the US would have absorbed them into their state in the MLverse, since we do not really see much mention of the individual states there. Either that or the Jap writers thought that way...

They are probably completely indifferent to the whole "alien invasion" thing, to the same degree as the US.

...or even more so, because BETA can easily steamroll into Alaska. South America is as far from the frontline, as it's humanly possible.

If I remember correctly, episode 1 of Total Eclipse mentioned that Brazil was one of the countries that opened its doors for refugees from the Asia mainland.

Hey guys, if anyone who played the game can send me in pm some info about the Total Eclipse ending? I'm just interested in what happened at the end and who survived.

Shit tier translation. I suck at translating, and I'm only fluent conversationally so I can't even read (Only listen). My english also sucks. Better then nothing though. Wish I had a better audio source.

This is the ending.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAY7_afEpOM
Y: What are you doing rushing? Even if you charged
Flashback
L: Forgive me, I will accept all of your lives
Flashback end
Y: Shit, so that's what you mean lieutenant
Flashback
L: The suicide switch that lets you die easy isn't equipped on the Zhars (I think she meant Zhars, not sure)
L: I am..Russian
Flashback End
Y: You have one don't you... Your Tsf has a S-11 equipped, doesn't it?!?
Y: Please liuetenant, give it to me! I will be the one to do it!
L: Take distance you fool! You'll get involved!
Y: Aren't you underestimating me? The Shiranui second with a higher attack will be able to withstand the blast!
L: That's why the 94 2nd has to do the finishing blow
Y:
L: You will be the one to save us from this Hell!
It's what a hero is supposed to do!
Y:
L: theyve already seen the S-11 bomb once, so I'm not sure if everything will go as well, but even at the worst, I will blow away that legend!
Farewell, my son from Japan (Shit I cried here).
I will leave you the rest!
Y: LIUETENANNNTTT
Yuuya yells "Stop"
Latrova does some war cry shit
Yuuya "Dammiiit/Shiittt"
Y: I still haven't (Couldn't get what he meant, blame shit audio)
I won't let you... DEFINITELY.
Kriska starts singing
Y: !?
I:...
I: Yuuya...
Y: Inia, are you alright?
I: It's Kriska.
Y: What?
I: Kriska..came for us..
Y: Kriska?
(Even Latrova is baffled)
Yui hears it too

Sanders: I see..
You guys...Will again have to leave.
Hmph..As thought, I was correct.
That man.. Yuuya Bridges...Was the best catalyst...
Y: I see. That unit.. I see, that times..
I: Yes. Did you know, Yuuya, inside them, inside everyone, Kriska's feelings are overflowing.
Born Inside Kriska, Martika (What the fuck is this, I forgot) was understood. The important feelings, are overflowing
Y: I see.
I: Yep
Y: So it was like that huh...
I: Let's Protect, Yuuya. This world Kriska loved.
Y: Yeah, let's go
To protect the world that took care of us, and gave us life..
I: Kriska is also with us.
Y: Yeah. We aren't alone.

tl;dr: Okay ending. Magic Esper shit. C'mon, I thought this Muv-luv, hard sci fi with military jumbles. Expected some heroic end.

Was still happy seeing my waifu as some psuedo-soul thing.

Thank you, that is more then enough. Usually the answer I got from other place had a lot of ''Maybe'' and ''Not sure but..'' stuff inserted into just one sentence that roughly explained everything. You pretty much gave a whole picture. A solid, ending I guess... Still one of my favorites died so... yeah...

Anyway, thanks again. ^^

I wish I had a better audio source, I'm only fluent only conversationally so all my translated based of audio of that video.

The ending was decent IMO, too much newtype magic shenanigans. Laser Fort-Class was nice addition though. Gonna buy a PS3 just to play some TE

Wish I had any Japanese knowledge to get this game. Played the original Alternative on PC but somehow the characters here are more intriguing to me. There is almost a zero chance of it being translated. Oh well, at least had a pleasure to watch anime.

Usually, I'd argue to learn Japanese, but then again I was raised bilingually so It's kinda unfair to say that . Sci fi, especially psuedo hard sci fi like Muv-luv is really hard to read cause you know, you don't bother learning those words lol.

It is.
It's their to show that Yuuya, Latrova, and the others successfully protected the XG-70 from the Laser Fort Class from sniping the susanoo with lasers.

They made no mention whether Yuuya, Latrova and the others survived or not?

Since I don't know Japanese can someone do me a favor? I'm interested to see how are the reactions for Total Eclipse game among the Japanese gamers now? I've seen a bit of dissatisfaction with the game when it came out, saying they need to patch it up with DLC cuz' the story is broken etc., but I'm interested if the reaction changed?
