This episode did have more emotional impact than the manga, but then, that is generally the case when you get moving colored pictures as well as sound; you can convey the atmosphere and emotions better.

So yeah, have to agree this was a top-notch episode, and the ED song was simple a clincher. The way Erza's "loss" enabled her to comfort Wendy in her own loss, was fairly well-done.

I can't think that we've seen the last of Jellal, though. He's gotta spring back up eventually. One of Mashima's personal mottos seems to be: "There's always room for Jellal!"

Didn't expect Natsu to be the first one to start a fight. Like he does like fighting and stuff but for Jellal? He really forgives easily.

And wow... definetly didn't expect the whole guild to be just an illusion. It sure explain why only Wendy was sent to help. But the masted seems to heve gotten attached to his illusions too much, even though Wendy was not around, he still interected with it like with real people.

Like that small bit of info about Erza's surname, that also was suprising.

Looks like we have filler next week, not suprised. We have them all the time between the arcs

EDIT: Lol who is the dumbass who can't hear Jellal's name being said "Jellal" and not "Gerard"?

At least it's been limited to one or two episodes so far and not an entire season of filler.

To be fair, it was pretty obvious 80% of the motivation for his outburst wasn't for Jellal's sake, but for Erza's.

That could change. We'll be getting a new OP in a month, so we'll know after that if the next manga arc will soon follow or not.

True, but the first OP for the Nirvana arc had a major spoiler for the manga arc directly after it so I don't think we're at that point yet. On the other hand I don't mind a show doing a filler arc, so long as it's actually good.

If anything, I think Fairy Tail needs fillers. And if they are anything like those stand-alone one time episodes that happen between arcs, I'm sure to enjoy. Anyway, this arc was awesome, can't wait to see what next one will bring.

^I've been thinking that too but in the flashback of Wendy, Jellal introduces himself as Jellal. Surely Mystogan's name isn't Jellal too so ..

true but well, maybe he wanted to make her think he was Jellal for whatever reasons... we don't know exactly who he is and why he has the same aspect as Jellal

the only thing we know is the "Anima" thing he mentioned before leaving Wendy

Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: England, UK Age: 37	Aye! ;_____; Spoiler for Episode 68: My favourite part of this series has always been the interaction between Erza and Jellal, so it was incredibly heavy to watch the first half of this episode. Jellal's final words to Erza, and then that flashbask explaining the reason behind the comment about her hair was so just beautiful. & perfect music placement, making this scene much more powerful then the manga version. Erza also stole the second half of the episode, with her words to Wendy. So good. Looks like we're heading into fillers next week. Enjoyed everyone trying to fight to get Jellal back, and of course Natsu lead the charge. Surprised Erza didn't fight when she was the one who wanted to save him the most. Hope it's not the last we see of him. His last words and the reasoning behind it was touching. Felt so bad when she was crying on that hill. Didn't expect the truth about the guild. I guess it makes sense since nobody has heard of it. Also why they only sent Wendy for the joint mission. Very tough on Wendy, but it was very nice of the Master to create a whole guild for her. Nice to see Erza over her crying to help comfort Wendy. Her words were awesome. Looks like there's a new addition to Fairy Tail. 3 Dragon Slayers now! Wonder how she'll interact with Gajeel. __________________ My Anime List

The ErzaXJellal pairing was probably the most canon pairing that you could get in Fairy Tail. I've always been a fan of the Erza and Jellal pairing and now those dreams are shattered with a very touching first half (and ED credits too!).

Hope she gets out of the picture soon :S

Bern-san Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2009	Spoiler for 69: the canon part was very enjoyable, especially Gajeel's reaction to Wendy (where's my cat?) and Jubia's tears the filler was meh... that Daphne girl is annoying with her "Hai Hai!" it is going to continue next episode with Natsu vs Gray, who appears to be mind-controlled did you notice how Mystogan stared at Wendy? i think that may confirm he was the one who met her (anyway everybody knew it since the flashback) i hope the filler improves next episode...
