I don't think it's intentional. The designs are modeled after early human evolution, in particular they closely resemble Homo Habilis. But, I'm hoping this manga isn't given an anime. Not because of potential racism outcries, but because it's an awful manga to begin with.

Well, I can say for sure black people doesn't look like Terraformers at all, however Homo Erectus people does.
No offense, but saying those roaches look like black people is like saying black people looks like homo erectus (which is pretty much an insult if you ask me). Kekeke.

Well, either way, the anime has the potential to be quite popular. More than the other pillars from Young Jump - Kingdom and Tokyo Ghoul (my favorite being Kingdom by far). The reason? Well, the plot is the weakest out of the 3 but it has better art and awesome battle scenes.

Also, this might seem unbelieveable, but I never thought of racism even once when reading this manga. Guess things are different here in Brazil?

Was surprised they actually "announced" it. Personally speaking, the manga has spent all of its course (as of now) explaining nothing, with an excessively large cast (even with all the "happenings") and too long fight scenes. They'd need to trim down a lot of the "useless" bit to make it watchable, IMO.

There are black people in this manga, and they look nothing like the Terraformers.
They look like actual black people.

TFs are supposed to look like neanderthals and other prehistoric sapiens, for a reason that would be spoiler.
