Animation director, Takahiko Abiru apparently tweeted that the Chimera Ant arc will end at episode 135, so only twelve episodes left.

I actually think I predicted that it would end at that episode too, so yeah!

The narrative only makes it seem slow. Whether it's boring or not is up to everyone. >I< think it's pretty interesting.

That tweet apparently caused a panic, after which he clarified that the anime itself will not be ending at that point, just Chimera Ant.

I don't know why people are bitching. I thought the latest episode pretty much captured the entire essence of this arc's story and failing to see that is pretty much ignoring what makes Hunter x Hunter a great shonen manga. I thought it was one of the best episodes since the one with Gon and Pitou even if it did involve the second-tier characters of the arc.

Judging by MAL, its about Ikalgo (And Welfin) not being an important character.

Granted how anyone can think that just boggles by mind. But I guess that's what happens when you look at things conventionally.

I don't care that Ikalgo is just a minor character. I think he is amazing and very easy for me to relate to.

I don't care since I've already read the manga, but I can understand why anime-only watchers would be frustrated. Netero vs the King, the biggest fight in the arc, nay, the whole series, was just about to start; and what do we get instead? An Ikalgo episode!

Note that the anime changed the order of the events. Ikalgo vs Welfin happened way later in the manga.

Well the manga still interrupts the Netero/King fight. It just happens a little later.

I prefer the anime though. In the manga, the interruption happens in the middle of the fight as supposed to the beginning.

Why does everyone hate Ikalgo so much? He's cool!

It's funny how Ikalgo is probably one of the most human characters in the middle of so many monsters.

It's no coincidence - it all plays into what Togashi is trying to do with the larger point of the arc, IMO. And that's why this ep was so crucial.

The king isn't human. He has a human side.

Excuse me while I go pick my mouth off the floor. Bear in mind, I've had to do this about fifteen times in this anime.

This episode was all high-quality action, incredibly tense, highly emotional and immensely disturbing in equal measures. I loved this in the manga and I love it even more in the anime. Excellent work by Kikuko Inoue and Mariya Ise as Palm and Killua respectively.

Honestly if this isn't the episode (And there have been plenty of other episodes I could say this) that makes you realize why Hunter x Hunter is the best shounen ever and that Togashi is the best shounen mangaka...

EDIT: Again, I just cant agree or even see the problem with the narration. It's been absolutely crucial and it really enhanced the scene when we find out what happened to Palm.

I really can't believe how, in its 124th episode, hunter x hunter is still capable of keeping me on the edge of my seat the way it does. I was absolutely glued to the screen in anticipation of Palm showing up again, it was so tense that I think I may have forgotten to breathe for a moment there. Such an amazing episode and such outstanding voice work by both Killua and Palm's seyuus.

I really can't understand how this show isn't more popular on these boards, I really can't.

Then again, the manga ranked in the Top 10 in volume sales in 2013 despite having zero new chapters. So it's not as if it's totally unappreciated in Japan, at least.

People look at HxH and see a little boy surrounded by a ragtag bunch of misfits. Of course they're not gonna give it the light of day. They've already seen DBZ and/or Naruto. (yes I know it predates Naruto but that's not the issue here)
