Basically, it contains the HTT songs played in the movie. Though I'm more interested in the new Death Devil song...
It will be released on Jan 18- you can buy it here.

Same here, Death Devil only has a few songs we know of, so any addition is a "flying getto"

Yes. All the HTT songs on the album are new "movie mixes" of old songs.

"Legends"? Are they old enough to be legendary?

Or have they actually achieved "The Beatles" status?

I might consider buying this, do you think there will be a Bluray release as well? for those who have the DVD/Bluray how good are the subs compared to fan subs?

Yeah, that's kinda silly putting that on there. It's like putting a "Greatest Hits" on a videogame that was being re-released. Oh well, the boxset is what I've been waiting for, so I'll probably be getting it.

Update: Bandai Entertainment confirmed the DVD release and emphasized that there are no Blu-ray Disc plans.
I find this assertion interesting.

Why? Aren't Japan and the United State the same Blu-Ray region?

My Samsung Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player (BD-D5700) is not region free, It supports Region A for Blu-Ray, and Region 1 for DVD. wait a second, Japan and U.S are both region A! what a relief, now the problem is the cost of those blu-rays in Japan.. I'm surprised K-ON! is one of their final releases before closing. At least go out with a Blu-ray.. Man I really wanted too see K-ON! in English Blu-ray..

Well, Japan is Region A for Blu-Ray. So I guess Your trouble with be Japanese Region 2 DVDs? but if Bandai is making DVDs, those would be Region 1?

yep Bandai U.S. company, but I really don't want to get the standard DVD since I have a Blu-ray player. Its sad really.. Bandai U.S. (licensed company for Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star) that did a good job dubbing it, is closing (possibility of pirating, should have adapted like Crunchy Roll/Funimation) looks like no U.S. release of K-ON!! unless Funimation does it
