Its not totally uncommon that people use a fake name regardless of where you are. Even English voice actors use a fake name completely different from their birth given name.
Yeah uh.. It's not like he's mentally ill and hid his name just because he wrote a horror story. What about the thousands of other indie horror games? Do you think their developers are ill in the head as well?

Pfff, Ryu is fine. Judging from how happy he looks in most of his pictures that are on the internet, I'd say you wouldn't suspect that such man is writing horror and mystery stories.

Well his methods of murder and how to hide the victims are pretty detailed.

Yes, but at the same time, we've got things like Saw that are super gruesome and popular, and it's not like the people who make that are mentally ill. And besides, I'm pretty sure it's not writing gore that Ryukishi likes, it's seeing fans react to their favorite characters in mortal peril.

Higurashi isn't the only gory game or visual novel in Japan, there is for example Chaos;Head, Kara no Shoujo, Saya no Uta, Coprse Party and many more. If there was something mentally wrong with Ryukishi07 the same would apply for the writers of those visual novels and games.

His games and SoL scenes are detailed too. Same for the Tokyo thing in the last arc. It's "detailed" as much as the rest.

Writing violent and gory stories does not mean you are mentally ill.

Exactly, I honestly have no idea why people mentioned that, it's just silly.

Also, there was some updates about Higurashi on steam from Doddler about a week ago. It's nearly ready, they're just testing it and such, so yay, I guess.

And I just felt like posting some silly pictures from Hou, bored at the moment.

That aside, what does the original say on 1st and 3rd pics? Russian Federation? Ryukishi leapt in time for shits and giggles again?

These pics where from before December, so all those pesky errors and misspellings have already been fixed. That, and I'm re-going through the script and fixing things up one last time at the moment.

Anyhow, here is the original text for the 1st and 3rd pics. I searched multiple online dictionary's, thejadednetwork (sound effects) and the internet at large but couldn't find an answer to what guso meant. Other than Google images where I saw poop, so I subbed it as shit.

1st
野グソマンはヒット作でしたねぇ。

3rd
 同じことは、ロシア連邦、スヴェルドロフスク州、エカテリンブルクの生物兵器秘密研究所でも 起こった。

I can understand why you asked for the original text as anyone would think that can't be what it says. Also, I found this just now (Weird how I didn't notice it before) which has it as poop, but field poop man sounds really silly and childish.

Guso is kuso with rendaku enabled.

Sorry, i thought there was a mistranslation, but you actually did a fine job at googling. The translated script pretty precisely describes what a "no-guso-man" is, that is, "a man who takes a dump in plain sight", or a "shit-ass", "shitter", or a "loose ass", something along those lines (damn, it feels so weird to be typing these words here). For some reason, "no-guso" even got its own page in nicopedia.

That's ok, and I didn't have a clue what rendaku was until I googled it.

Also, I just finished with the Hou staff credits yesterday. Damn that took long, there was seriously alot of text. There's only a few things left until it's complete anyhow. The title/logo being the main thing, then I will read through it all one last time and fix some past tense and pretense that I noticed, which I have already started a little for Outbreak.
Spoiler for Hou Staff Credit's:

"Use script"? That's better translated as "Game engine" or "Scripting engine". Also, "eye" should be plural, since it means THAT image seen on 11st day of Watanagashi-hen.

And, by the way, does anyone know what LRRP could mean? I'm wondering what the heck it is since 2013. It's hard to believe it really is "long-range patrol", as Google keeps telling me.

Yeah, that's actually what it says. Weird though, but I guess game engine makes more sense. I'll make those changes, thanks for spotting them. I also don't have a clue what LRRP means either, maybe it's something to do with Ragnarok Online.

Looks good, although the "N" for "Naku" and the "K" for "Koro" are meant to be in caps, sorry to be nitpicky. Anyway, I just finished going over Outbreak one last time and fixed up some stuff, so the entire game should be finished, refined (I hope so) and released within a week from now.

It should be done sooner or later, a month tops maybe. Although I'm more worried on what the release schedule will be for the rest of the arc's, the thought frightens me.

Edit
I edited Gura's title a little bit (hope you don't mind) to make it more closer to the games original, but I'm unsure on which suits best. I'm thinking number 2, 3's too yellow and 1's too dark, what about you guys?
