Take out the comedy and put it into the drama... there's very little comedy in this series and a lot more drama.

I find myself laughing quite a bit at this series, so i say there's plenty of comedy.

The comedy is more on the unintended side. Like, really, I found myself laughing at the juvenile delinquents when they got shot off the bridge by the water cannon in a sick and twisted, "HAHAHAAHAH!!! That will learn you, you POS!!!!"

Take out the Comedy and replace with Cheese in an equal amount and should be about right... :P

Can we stop pretending that there is no comedy in this, unintended or not? Half the panty shot scenes are to laugh at, without including the sexual frustration jokes in fan service only.

As for cheese, even that comes in various types.

Well, this show employs dark comedy (apart from boing-sensei), but those panty shot scenes are not for laughter... (they're beautiful ).

Actually, I'd say that was precisely the intended the response. It's rather like how "Hellsing" and "Franken Fran" can both be utterly hilarious despite having amazingly messed up stuff going on at all times.

Hellsing uses the rule of cool. This series tries to hide in audacity too much.

And your point being?

The source was very clear that we would get guns and boobs with zombies. I don't see the director of the anime trying to do more than that.

Hellsing = Alucard versus nazis.

HotD = Bunch of highschool kids trying to survive Z day.

Clearly, I would not say that the director failed so far and I would still say that Madhouse IS the right studio to animate it. the only way for it to be better is to have Yoshiaki Kawajiri himself as the director, only him in Madhouse can mix violence and sexyness the way he does.

I'm in love with the ending song Return to Destiny. I so cannot wait to have the full version of that.

Yeah, I laugh from the beginning to end. Whether or not I"m laughing at what's meant to be laughed at is a different story. But nonetheless, there is plenty of humor in this series.

Episode 5 was great. Wow, that fight scene due to the slow downs, and bullet time kinda reminded me of the House of the Dead movie. Also It seems I wasn't the only one reminded of the people sniping zombies from building in Dawn of the Dead, on that note I think I'm going to like that sniper lady, not as much as Saeko, loved her spin combo movie she performed while being spun by the motor cycle. When he was given the crowbar, first thing that came to my mind was the halflife games, and the head crab zombies.

Hellsing though has some very funny previews of the next episode. A demonic anime...damn.

Here we got zombies nothing supernatural YET!

I'm just going to say this, Rei should be invited to all beach/hot spring episodes. She knows how to start a party.

okay...I seriously lol'd at Shizuka's "water pistol"

I like how the episode ended before the credits, yeah there's been kissing scenes and passion in other series, but this one, just the tone of their breathing and subtle sound of them kissing, it just felt real. (I think this is the most serious statement I've ever made lol)
