So I saw a whole bunch of new posts in this thread, thinking that drug bust story must've revived this thread. And of course it's much, much worse. Can't believe Yoshinoya and Harumi are gone. And such a horrible way too (as a lifelong asthma sufferer, any lung-related illness and death sends chills down my spine).

Folks, do try to see a doctor if you have an especially stubborn cold or fever. Especially if your job involves much use of your lungs (I read Masumi Asano's doujin Sore ga Seiyuu and enjoyed the anime version; they talk a lot about avoiding colds and regular throat exams).

My deepest condolences to her family, friends, and seiyuu comrades.

I just 'knew' something was 'up' when the first song I heard today was "Seasons In the Sun" by Terry Jacks.

Although she was not an out-and-out favourite of mine what she brought to the roles she played was a sense of 'this part is in the safest of hands' and it often enhanced the performances around her, she seemed to shine in ensemble casts and gave a memorable quality to the parts she played, as an anime fan I could ask for no more than that, so to the Hidamani Sensei and the SZS student I thank you for your excellent body of work and your [unseen] assistance to so many other actresses that have crossed your path.

My condolences to all your many fans and friends that you made along the way.

Given how I just recently marathoned Shimoneta, this was just too soon. It freaking hurts, doubly so since I loved Yoshinoya in Hidamari.

And there are ongoing stories too. Will this mean that they'll cut Chimo's appearances from the final Tamayura movie? How about Sapphire in Prisma Illya?

To live on,
How she looked as she gave it her all to live on...

Struggling to open her eyes, to respond.
When I spoke to her about work, her eyes would open wide "I can do it!"
She didn't speak, but that's what she was saying.

The work that she loved so much, I also do.
If I get behind in my work because of my sadness, she'd definitely yell at me

That's why, I'll do it.

It's alright. I can hear Miyu-chan's voice, just like always.

But you know, I still haven't taught you how to cook...

I'm still playing Zestiria and Lailah is my favourite character in that game. It was a really great shock to hear about it yesterday.

Rest in peace.

I remember not being able to listen to that song for a few weeks after my Grandard died, somehow it really got to me, but I'm alright with it now.

It's very sad to hear Miyu Matsuki is no longer with us, especially as she was only 6 months older than me.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei was the first Anime I got into in a big way, where she voiced Harumi Fujiyoshi, so it feels quite bad for me.

Wow, reading this is too shocking and sad. I'm a fan of her voice as Kuuko and Anna. Can't believe that's all I'll get to hear from her.

Excuse me while I go cry myself to sleep.

I really liked her as Yoshinoya and more recently Anna. This news came as a shock to me as I was unaware of her condition. RIP.
