I come here just to say that I give props to the author that he introduces a tentacle monster as an actual sentient being with feelings. There is some outrage elsewhere that he might end up paired with Naomasa, but I believe one shouldn't be judged for what they were born as but what they do. If the Horizon series manages to convince the audience to accept a mass of tentacles as more than just "designated villain", I think the franchise would get another feather in its cap.

^ Yeah, God bless the archives.
The decent discussions remind me of the Raildex General when there's still so much stuff to speculate. I'm not surprised if the Wiki I'm handling end up more bloated with information than the Toaru Majutsu no Index Wiki. Fortunately, the names are easier to research here... if only the Greek terms are much more tolerable. D:

Did Yoshinao inherit this name (like after his naturalization in Far East)?
There was quite a similarity between the real one and If that is so, then his wife's name should be Haru-hime. I might be wrong because I haven't resumed reading 2-A (shame on me, currently sidetracked by other series >.<) yet, so I don't know if there will be a different Yoshinao who will appear later that inherited this name. Well, since his description in jwiki involves Battle of Sekigahara (one of the major battles in v3), there is a small possibility.

@wiki doesn't give any info about the origin of Yoshinao's name, but it is possible that he is Tokugawa Yoshinao.
And wait, Naomasa IS based on Ii Naomasa? But how? Isn't the last Ii Naomasa still alive? http://www40.atwiki.jp/genesis-ticket/pages/22.html Should I post the inherited names of Class 3-Plum here? Should be nice for speculah.

Actually, I'm dying to know what Naomasa's first name is. I think her first name is not Ii, since Naomasa (girl) is called Naomasa even before Naomasa Ii was spirited away.
I don't remember a part in the novel where she was referred to by her first name.
