The 3rd episode of the original 2000s series have had one of the must fucked up endings ever. That shit forever haunted my nightmares.
Original TV series was my first time I have heard Mamiko Noto, I think it was her debut role as a seiyuu iirc, and Kaori Shimizu. |

To be fair, I recently heard Boogiepop when the illustrator worked on Xenoblade 2.
That said, dang... Didn't expect another adaption of this. Though I've forgotten what is is about. Read a few volumes, but haven't followed after those. It never hurts to get more acknowledgement of the series, though. (Though it must still be popular enough to still be ongoing?) PS: Oh, I just checked, but the original LN completed in the first volume of the same title and the other volumes with different titles are like spinoffs. So I guess this is the animation of that one volume?

Not necessarily. Hyouka anime from KyoAni is adapted from Kotenbu novel series where the title of its first volume is Hyouka while the other volumes are named differently but they still ended up adapting several volumes of Kotenbu series instead of just the first volume (Hyouka). The same thing could be happening here.

Currently 21 volumes. From the PV, they are covering vol.2&3, the Imaginenator arc. If the anime is going to be 12 ep. Then I hope they spend everything on the Imaginenator arc, working out every little detail to perfect it instead of trying to cover more volumes. If they have 24 ep. then I hope they work on the Distortion King arc as well. Ahhh, I can't wait for them to reveal who is going to do Minahoshi's voice. Quote:

Except I heard that at least some of the PV's content was PV-only (like that fire guy).
Not that I have a source, but that is what I heard. Quote:
Except that meme thing about the teacher scolding the class for playing instruments badly......... Though as I type this message, I realize that is a different Kyoani anime. All of their anime these days look the same.
