Granblue Fantasy is getting a new TV anime.

GBF livestream confirmed some extra info:
Officially "Granblue Fantasy: the animation, season 2", so not a spinoff or another retelling.
I couldn't catch the director name, but the studio has changed, it is handled by MAPPA. The character design also went through some changes. While it is good they gave up on the murky/canva style of coloring, the design also changed and it is some mixed bag in my books.
Scheduled for 4th October.

They will probably release the trailer soon enough.

Key visual featuring new characters and staff

I personally liked the s1 art style, except maybe the lineart. The new style... Orchis and Vira looks pretty nice, but not sure how I felt about Ferry or Noa. Overall, looks worse than S1.

Very happy to see this back for another season.

I thought it was a good episode, another powerful summon for Lyria.

Our crew is smart enough to know the peace treaty is completely fake, now to see how they deal with it.

I thought her formal look quite good actual. I think fits her better. But yeah I would have liked to she in a dress too

Not surprised Katalina left the group. Her conversation with Gran made her sound as if she wasn't continuing. No doubt due to Vira. I now we just waiting for the trap to be spung.

I suppose, definitely not enough meat on it to sustain an entire cour, like some people were speculating around the net.

Still, it ended better than I thought it would. I kinda of expected Vira to just die honestly so that didn't happen thankfully. Katalina is sure dense tho, seems not have any realization how Vira feels about her. lol

Zombies usually eat human to get energy, the zombies here can still eat normal food, so there's no need to eat people.

This episode feels a bit fast between meeting Ferry and her telling what happened in the island, are they going to wrap this arc next week?
