With admins removing votes for no apparent reason I won't trust any unoffical tallies.
Also the block voters rally for once and bring out ...~2x500 votes. I don't know certain people can still close their eyes from the reality that JSaimoe is dead. |

Third repechage (assuming Kotori and Ruiko are the losers here), which is tomorrow:
http://pastebin.com/RS10bH7T Please tell me if the winners and losers change after official results are posted. For this reason, I won't post third round results yet. It's almost as if the tournament updater gave up on this tournament as well. Second round matches from one month ago still don't have results posted. Edit: You'll be pleased to know that the admin-group dropped a bomb on the voting thread, resulting in over 500 casualties. Fortunately, out of all this mess my post which voted for Karen managed to survive. Still no clue as to the basis for deleting posts. I'm going to start seeing あぼーん:あぼーん あぼーん in my dreams at this rate. The new vote totals are as such (still unofficial, I think): Quote:

There's no way AST would risk ending the tournament by eliminating so many votes..... on second thought, maybe they would.
- Not much of a change in VD between Karen and Minami Kotori, which benefits the challenger who goes against Love Live. Current unofficial totals would indicate Karen advances to the top 32. - The remaining Railgun reps and other challengers not from the PMMM and Saki series don't have a chance at winning if votes are still being disallowed. Even though Saki also lost votes, Ruiko at the moment lost the most votes between the two. |

Sorry if I sound like I am blaming but I have a bad feeling the reason why the posts getting deleted is someone in AST might of wanted Saki and Madoka to have an easier time in this tourney. Maybe it is just Saki, well the non minor ones getting easy 70%+ on other opponents that isn't Saki nor Madoka is making me feel suspicious.

Can someone clue me in on how the post-block stage is supposed to work? I've drawn up the brackets for it (based on what I can understand), but I'm confused on how this is supposed to play out. To elaborate, this is what I'm seeing for the remainder of the tournament: I can see a way to fit 24 characters in, but how does the repechage fit in? Am I missing matches here?

We had slightly better Vote totals this time. As I thought, Kotori really wasn't able to keep up with Karen and ends up with a solid loss. Things have just been really bad for Love Live in Round 3. The second match is probably the one that caused the increase in voter interest. However, in the end Saten falls well short of challenging Saki. Railgun just couldn't get it done against Saki this round and ends up losing most of their characters. Not all hope has been lost since I expect some of them to come back through Repechage.

Third round results (with combo vote tables):
http://pastebin.com/GH9EzUKP Third repechage (posted again, that's tomorrow): http://pastebin.com/RS10bH7T I'll play the prediction game today. For some reason, repechage this year is more exciting than the main rounds. That's just me though. Spoiler for My prediction for top 8:
I didn't give this much thought. Seeing what happened last repechage, I won't bet against horses. I added four Sakis, since people are still voting Saki. The other three is a bit hard to choose, especially since the whole tournament changed with vote deletions and everything. I guess Yui, Umi, and Nagi. Of course, who knows what will happen, with vote deletion capable of completely changing the result of a repechage match where everyone is close together. Quote:
For the knockout stage (entire bracket decided by random draw), each round of 16 match (there are 8 of them) consist of one playoff round winner and one second-place finisher. From then on, it progresses as a 1v1 knockout tournament.

Hopefully Saki characters don't get wrecked too hard by the format. It's pretty unfortunate for them that they have to deal with massive split vote issues this late in the game. I think it might have been better to do two 1v1 matches instead of a group of four.

Repechage Round 3. Only the best (and the horses) are making it out alive this time. The only prediction I'm fairly confident in is the horses advancing. Saki might advance a few characters but it'll be rough with so few spots. Love Live had a strong showing in Repechage Round 2 but it's hard to say how well they will do since they haven't done very well lately. Since eight of their members are participating, I guess we'll finally see how they rank against each other.

Well, didn't bother with Group Final prediction at all, especially when Saki/PMMM always win anyway...(I'm not anti-Saki myself, but yeah, it's boring when even 3rd tier Saki girls go this far...)
Oh well, repechage time, and let the horses win. Vote: Horses Nico-ni Yukinon Kodomo-chan Predict: Horses (Finishing 1st, of course) Umi Honoka Nico-ni Mori-sama Teru Koromo Yukinon (Hopefully...)
