Oh nice I actually liked this one quite a bit. Probably going to get at least one villainess series every season for the foreseeable future, there's a lot to adapt.

Holy cow! That's cool. When I think of a really evil story villainess I always think of her first.

The original villainess was a completely nasty, psychopath. Main character is pretty cool too.

The era of the reincarnated Villainess' has truly begun !

Ai Fairouz as a former villainess! She's in good company with Maaya and Rieri !

It's kind of funny seeing Maaya Uchida in the male lead (?) role since she kicked this genre off anime-wise with Bakarina .

Also was not expecting Haruka Tomatsu, but that's awesome !

Wonder how much romance is in this...

Apparently there are plans by the publisher to reserialise the manga adaptation. Very likely they will get a new artist, although I don't know if they'll start from the last point the 1st manga ended or go back to the beginning.

Plus, it seems somewhat ironic that the anime's character designs take after the cancelled manga version.

The villainess LN/manga series I'd really like to see adapted to anime is Villainess Level 99 -- a reincarnated girl realises she's destined to be the Secret Final Boss of an otome game and faces defeat at the hands of the main love interest and her harem. To avoid this fate she proceeds to derail the plot by becoming severely OP while at the same time being totally clueless regarding personal relationships and how other people think.

I liked Villainess Level 99 quite a bit myself. I'd imagine there will be more and more villainess series announced for later this year and into next.

Yeah, seems that the genre is now really kicking off in terms of anime adaptations.

good adaptation so far.the pace felt okay, i don't remember any cut part and it felt close to the original. i expect s1 will finish at end of book 2 which feel fine and mean they have enough material for a s2 if the sales are good.

I like that we get to see flashbacks (forwards?) of Pride in full villainess mode. I was following the manga until it got discontinued due to the author's health so I'll definitely be following this.

Yeah manga is great (what I read anyway) and this looks like it has all the good points of the manga in anime form. Definetly going to be solid one if it keeps up.

I guess this is going to one of those shows that is more difficult to view. Oh well, at least I read it so I can wait.

My favorite part of a drama where the main female character takes the place of someone else is how the other characters react to her change. Most stories of that type just breeze through those parts and don't go into it in enough depth.

It's like getting to see both the paragon and renegade choices in Mass Effect.

Finally got a chance to see it. The pacing was a little quick, but they had quite a bit to cover so it's expected. The only thing about the pacing though is that it made it less relatable why she was so upset and had trauma because those parts were condensed in the anime. The reactions to her sudden change from the web novel were almost completely absent too.

Overall I enjoyed first episode though.
